Zhang Yue was a most prominent poet in the literary field of Tang Dynasty from its beginning to the blooming period. This paper, starting from Zhang's role in leading and developing the literature of Tang Dynasty, as well as has inference as a poet to it, discusses his affect in improving the poetic style of the Tang Dynasty. Therefore, the paper reaches to a positive conclusion to Zhang's position. The thesis dissertation is divided into 4 chapters.Chapter 1, Describes several problems and the political achievement of Zhang in his life time.Chapter 2, Discusses Zhang's political role in leading and developing the literature of the Tang Dynasty.Chapter 3, sums up Zhang's writing thought, revealing his effect in the formation of the poetic style of the Tang Dying.Chapter 4, Demonstrates Zhang's transitional effect in the development process of the poetry in Tang Dynasty from its beginning to the blooming period.
