| Zhang Zhao is an influential composer in China.His works occupy an important place in piano teaching and performance including Numa Ami,Spring Story,and his early compositions such as In That Far Away Place and Pi Huang.Three Songs of Southern Yunnan Mountains was composed in 1992 by composer Zhang Zhao,based on his understanding of traditional folk music in China.It combines western compositional techniques to create this work with an ethnic minority flavor.The work consists of three minor pieces: Mountain Baby,Mountain Moon and Mountain Fire.The composer has taken the inspiration of the ethnic minorities in the southwest of China as the basic source of musical inspiration,presenting three very vivid images,which is a typical representative work of Zhang Zhao.There are four parts in the thesis: I.Introduction to Zhang Zhao and Three Songs from the Mountains of Yunnan;II.Musical analysis of Three Songs from the Mountains of Yunnan;III.The national style of Three Mountain ballads in southern Yunnan.IV.Analysis of the performance of Three Songs from the Mountains of Yunnan.The three parts are a whole,through the background of the composition of the work,the general understanding of the author’s artistic growth path and the analysis of the musical ontology,the preliminary theoretical discussion will deepen the understanding of the work and enable the performance of the work to be further improved. |
