| The English Curriculum Standards for General High Schools(2017 Edition)(hereinafter referred to as the Curriculum Standards)put forward the perspective of English learning activities, which are the basic form of English learning and the main way to improve student’s core competence in English disciplines.Under the guidance of the perspective of English learning activities, teachers should design three levels of teaching activities: the activity of learning understanding, the activity of application and practice and the activity of transfer and innovation to improve students’ core qualities. As one of the four types of courses, listening and speaking course is of great significance to improve the core quality of students. Therefore,it is necessary to practice the perspective of English learning activities in listening and speaking teaching. At present, most of the research on the perspective of English learning activities is focused on reading lessons, but there is little research on the application of the perspective teaching, which leaves room for the study of the perspective of English learning activity in listening and speaking. The thesis based on the perspective of English learning activity, combines "Learning by Doing" and Bloom’s classification theory of educational goals to design listening and speaking teaching activities. This paper takes two parallel classes of a high school in Shenmu as the research object, using the methods of questionnaire, experiment and test.It mainly discusses the following two questions:(1)How to design English listening and speaking class in senior high school from the perspective of English learning activities?(2)How does listening and speaking class in senior high school affect students from the perspective of English learning activities?Firstly, the research process consults the relevant literature on the perspective of English learning activity and listening and speaking teaching in high school, observes the listening and speaking classes in the second grade of senior high school.Secondly, according to the existing problems of English listening and speaking teaching in high school and the requirements of the Curriculum Standard, this paper divides the compulsory textbooks one to five into three main thematic contexts.Under the guidance of the perspective of English learning activities, three listening and speaking teaching cases are designed respectively.Thirdly, the specific instructional design is applied in the classroom teaching, and SPSS22.0 is used to make statistical comparison and analysis of students’ listening and speaking test results, and a questionnaire about students’ class participation and listening and learning effect is conducted. This is to verify the impact of listening and speaking teaching design guided by the perspective of English learning activity on students’ academic performance, learning attitudes and class participation. Finally, combined with the application process of instructional design and students’ feedback,it reflects on the deficiencies of listening and speaking design guided by the perspective of English learning activities. The results show that there is a significant difference between the result of the pretest and post-test from the experimental class, and there is no significant difference from the control class. In addition, the results of the questionnaire show that the subjects from the experimental class have significantly improved their interest in listening and speaking,motivation,self-confidence and class participation. Therefore,it can be concluded that the teaching of listening and speaking from the perspective of English learning activity can effectively improve students’ learning performance and change their learning attitudes. |
