Men have always been in the central position of executive power in the development of art history, while male artists rarely take themselves as a cognitive object when expressing their self pursuit and desire as a subject, which reveals the fact that men know little about themselves. When the creative subjects turn their thoughts to themselves and intend to find and confirm themselves in art, they need to return to the gender standard of human narrative. In visual art,the choice of images between men and women mostly focus on female images. The article starts with the analysis of this problem. From the perspective of existentialism, this paper discusses the consistency and differences between men and women in the construction of images,as well as the internal reasons for the image selection from the perspective of gender. Then it discusses the multiple temperament structures presented by men in their creations, such as male narcissistic, the embodiment of value and phallus centralism in visual representation. In the process of interpreting the visual image created by men,the way of negative thinking can deeply analyze the gender temperament under the surface of the image, that is grasping the real image through the opposite of the image. Finally, the article focuses on how to establish image authenticity with a round-trip movement between common characteristics and special characteristics.
