In the era of the Internet and new media,applications for short videos,such as Tik Tok,Kwai,have been a kind of network and information technology products that are the most popular.For the sake of improving the experience in making and watching short videos,many kinds of visual effects are developed,and enjoyed by the users.The success of the visual effects,show the great demand of product experience in short videos.As a philosophical theory which focuses on human experience,phenomenology is believed to be significant in revealing the essence of experience,and developing the design method of visual effects used in short videos.In this thesis,the author systematically studied the design method of visual effects in short videos,by means of phenomenology.At first,the author investigated those popular visual effects,and clarified the key experience in watching and enjoying for the users.And then,based on the theories by Edmund Husserl,Moritz Geiger and Roman Ingarden,the apperception essence,aesthetic mechanism and inherent structure of experience were indicated by the author.At last,based on the theories by Edmund Husserl and Maurice Merleau-Ponty,the methodology of visual effects design in short videos was proposed and applied by the author.To sum up,in this thesis,the phenomenology was successfully utilized in investigating the experience of visual effects in short videos,and developing the design methodology of the visual effects.This work can provide the references in both theory and practice for developing short videos product and the design theory for it.
