A Study On Vocabulary Of Wuchang Dialect In Hunan Province

Since the modern times, scholars engaged in research on Chinese widely considered the difference between the primary performance in Chinese dialects, but the differences of vocabulary and grammar is not obvious. Therefore, scholars put the emphasis of the dialect investigation and research basis on the voice. With the deepening of Chinese dialect research in recent years, people gradually realized the dialect vocabulary differences between one another are also obvious. Wugang is located in the southwest of Hunan Province, is a key base of traditional Xiang Dialect, which has kept many of the ancient Chinese vocabulary, also under the influence of Gan Dialect, thus leading to the fact that vocabulary system has certain characteristics. There are some scholars having studied the government dialect, but mainly concentrated in phonetics, grammar or some research aspects of the affix, no scholars systematically studying government dialect vocabulary.This paper is given priority to with government dialect vocabulary, using the field survey method, and sorting out the government dialect vocabulary, on whose basis compare it with mandarin, analyze the characteristics of the dialect words in the vocabulary, word meaning, etc, and with the GanFangYan key, dongkou dialect, changsha dialect, shaoyang dialect vocabulary do comparative analysis of similarities and differences, providing evidence of words for the Xiang Dialect.This paper is divided into four main parts:The first part mainly describes the present situation of Wugang, government dialect research literature review and the present situation, the research emphasis and the significance, as well as the government dialect phonetic system.Comparison with mandarin dialect vocabulary in the second part is the key content, from the number of syllables, word formation morpheme, word formation, word theories, etymology, the characteristics of the five aspects, summarizes the government dialect vocabulary system internal structure characteristics.The third part is the comparison respectively between government dialect vocabulary and GanFangYan feature words, dongkou dialect, changsha dialect, and shaoyang dialect. Through statistical method, comparative government dialect and the similarities and differences between the hunan-kiangsi dialect vocabulary area, through data analysis concluded that the government dialect affected by Gan Dialect smaller, and compared with changsha, shaoyang vocabulary, similarities are more than differences.The fourth part mainly focuses on the fact that government dialect has the color vocabulary for folk culture, from the marriage, birth, life, funeral, festival custom in the five aspects analyzing government dialect with folk culture color words.
