Exploration And Research Of Material Language In Abstract Sculpture

This paper mainly discusses the understanding and application of materials in abstract sculpture.The paper is divided into two chapters.The first chapter is the understanding of abstract sculpture materials.The first chapter discusses the material language and performance characteristics of abstract sculpture.Second,it discusses the relationship between the development of materials and the creation of abstract sculpture,and analyzes the application and expression of materials in abstract sculpture by taking Richard Serra,Tony Cragg and Anish Kapoor as examples.The second chapter discusses the application and expression of materials in abstract sculpture.Firstly,it is my personal opinion on materials,and secondly,it is my application and expression of materials in abstract sculpture creation.As one of the basic media for the development of human society,the research on materials has never stopped.The materiality and social attributes displayed by the application of materials in abstract sculptures are important components of abstract sculptures.Artists use materials to shape shapes to express creative ideas,concepts and emotions.Artists’ exploration of materials is also an exploration of abstract sculpture.
