Raymond Carver’s Impact On The Creation Of Contemporary Chinese Fiction

In the 1980s and 1990s,various new literary trends were introduced into China.Raymond Carver’s "Minimalism" novels have influenced many contemporary Chinese writers because of their distinctive literary characteristics.His works have the theme of "anti sublime","anti hero" characterization and anti traditional narrative mode.Under its influence,contemporary writers actively absorb the essence of creation and create many excellent works.Based on this,this paper comprehensively uses the relevant theories of influence research and narratology in comparative literature to explore the influence of Raymond Carver’s novels on Contemporary Chinese writers and the localization transformation process of Chinese writers from the combination of specific text analysis,demonstration and textual research.The introduction is divided into three parts,which respectively discusses the research value and significance of the paper,the translation,publication and research status of Carver’s works in China,and the research methods of this paper.The first chapter combs the origin of the "Minimalism" style,and then discusses the "Minimalism" of Carver’s novels.Secondly,it discusses the process of Chinese writers’ acceptance of Carver’s novels.Su Tong,Wang Shuo,Lao Hai,fan Xiaoqing and other contemporary Chinese writers have expressed their acceptance of the influence of Carver on different occasions.Based on this empirical relationship,the author further discusses this paper.The second chapter discusses the influence of the "anti hero" characteristics of Carver’s novels on Contemporary Chinese writers.It mainly focuses on the survival state of "little people" and their communication dilemma and interpersonal crisis.Writers give sympathy to "little people" through "Empathy" and feel the pain of their daily life.The third chapter discusses the influence of the discourse construction of "anti Sublimity" in Carver’s novels on Contemporary Chinese writers.It mainly focuses on the development path from the spiritual dimension of "anti Sublimity" to free writing.Contemporary writers achieved the construction of the theme of "anti loftiness" around the "ruffian" discourse,and realized the development of the road of freedom in the further "anti loftiness" writing of the "new generation" novelists.The fourth chapter discusses the influence of the narrative mode of "anti tradition" in Carver’s novels on Contemporary Chinese writers.It mainly focuses on the application of "uncertain" narration and dialogue art.In the works of contemporary Chinese writers,the traditional limited narration is alienated by the nonlinear "uncertain" narration.Secondly,writers began to pay attention to dialogue and make use of dialogue.The dialogue between characters occupied the majority of the novel,and dialogue became the main narrative mode of the novel,so as to achieve the override of the traditional literary narrative mode.The conclusion summarizes the reasons,background and multidimensional attributes of Carver’s influence on Chinese contemporary writers.
