| Gabriel Fauré(1845-1924)was an important French composer connecting the 19 th and 20 th centuries.Throughout Fauré’s music creation career,it is not difficult to find that piano works run through his various creative periods and occupy a large proportion.Theme and Variations in Csharp Minor(Op.73),which is to be studied in this paper,was created in 1895.It is a work in the mature stage of Fauré’s music creation career.It is the only work he created with the genre of variations.It is also his largest piano work and occupies a special position in all his works.This work continues the essence of the late romantic works,and shows the transformation characteristics from the late 19 th Century to the early 20 th Century,which also has a certain impact on the impressionist style.This paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which expounds the research significance of the author’s topic and the research status at home and abroad,introduces the social environment and music trend in France in the second half of the 19 th century,and describes the composer Fauré’s life and the stages of his piano music creation;The second and third chapters analyze the creative characteristics of the Theme and Variation in C-sharp Minor.The second chapter analyzes the musical form structure,the third chapter analyzes the tonal characteristics and harmonic language,discusses the creative techniques used by Fauré in his works,and summarizes the characteristics of musical form structure,tonality and harmony;The fourth chapter combines with the creative characteristics of the previous works to analyze the interpretation of the works.Through the in-depth analysis of the Theme and Variation in C-sharp Minor,this paper explores a more reasonable way of performance,so that the work can be presented more completely.At the same time,it is also a written summary opportunity for their performance learning,which not only improves their performance level,but also provides some help for people who follow-up study the work. |
