| Literature is a historical memory of the collective experience of a country and a nation recorded in the form of personal writing.In the complex social environment of China in the 1930 s and 1940 s,Guan Lu,a female writer active in Shanghai literary circles,had the experience of editing the magazine The Female Voice(1942-1945)with Japanese female writer Toshiko Sato,which led to her writing in 1949.Later,he was imprisoned twice,and his creative freedom was deprived.In the 1980 s,after Guan Lu regained her political reputation,this dusty female writer re-entered the field of vision of literary researchers.Guan Lu devoted his entire life to literary creation,but the climax of his creation was concentrated in the 15 years from joining the Union of Left Writers in early 1930 to the 1945 when The Female Voice magazine ceased publication.The literary works created by Guan Lu are scattered in various newspapers and magazines,and the number of publications in The Female Voice is the largest,including novels,poems,essays,literary criticism and other literary styles.This article takes Guan Lu’s literary creation and editing and publishing of The Female Voice magazine from 1930 to 1945 as the research object,analyzes Guan Lu’s position on the nation-state embodied in her literary creation,and evaluates her achievements in national salvation,gender enlightenment,and women’s liberation.The achievements made in such aspects have brought her back to her rightful position in the history of literature as a red female writer,and the extraordinary life course of female writers in the first half of the 20 th century is shown on the side.The full text includes six parts:Introduction,By combing the relevant literature of Guan Lu’s research,it finds the deficiencies in the research of Guan Lu’s literary creation,and then proposes the feasibility of this topic and the value and significance of the research.This paper intends to use gender theory,cultural criticism,text analysis and other research methods to comprehensively study Guan Lu’s creations from 1930 to 1945,and propose an idea to explore the social and historical significance of Guan Lu’s literary creation under the background of a specific era.The first chapter,The 1930 s was a historical period when Guan Lu focused on left-wing poetry.This chapter starts from Guan Lu’s joining the Union of Left Writers in the early 1930 s,and focuses on the poetry collection Singing on the Pacific Ocean to discuss the pursuit of popularization and nationalization in her poetry creation.The second chapter,Guan Lu planned to create a novel "trilogy" to reveal the changes in the fate of women in the old and new eras in a semi-autobiographical way.This chapter analyzes the historical transformation of intellectual women in the old and new eras and the growth of new women in the first two parts of the trilogy,The Old and New Era and Dawn(the third part has not yet been published).The third chapter,The important period of Guan Lu’s creation was the period when he was the chief writer and editor of The Female Voice.He mainly focused on prose creation in a broad sense,including lyrical prose,essays,literary criticism,film and television reviews and other styles.By analyzing these prose works,this chapter summarizes her ideas of opposing feudal chastity and freedom of marriage and love,advocating women’s economic independence and serving the society,and her unique contribution to women’s literary criticism.The fourth chapter,studies Guan Lu’s literary activities during the period when she was the chief writer and editor-in-chief of The Female Voice.On the one hand,it clarifies the process of the founding of The Female Voice,the position of Japanese female writer Toshiko Sato,and Guan Lu’s attitude towards The Female Voice magazine;Afterwards,she commented on the editorial strategy of The Female Voice and her political role.Conclusion,Guan Lu has always been a woman writer with a firm national stand and progressive thought.She lives up to her mission,takes women’s independence and liberation as her creative theme,and makes her own efforts for the cause of women’s liberation and national independence in China.In literary creation,her works are diverse in style and distinctive in the times,reflecting the firm political beliefs and complex spiritual living conditions of intellectual women in the era of anti-aggression national wars.Guan Lu’s outstanding contribution to literature is manifested in the prose creation of The Female Voice,which has active and enriched the literary environment of Shanghai in the 1940 s,and has unique value in the history of literature and women’s literature. |
