The teaching of English reading and writing has always been important and difficult points in senior high school English teaching.However,there are still many problems in the teaching of English reading and writing at this stage.Therefore,this study aims to help students mobilize their interest in reading and writing through new teaching methods,cultivate their ability of knowledge transfer,the spirit of cooperative learning in teaching activities,and learn English reading and writing efficiently.The author integrates Jigsaw Strategy into English Integrated Reading and Writing Teaching,objectively analyzes the effect of this strategy in teaching practice with empirical research methods and reliable experimental data,and provides a new model for senior high school English teaching.This study takes 100 students in two parallel classes of Grade 10 in Dalian No.103 middle school as the research object.Class 6 of Grade 10 is the experimental class,which adopts Jigsaw Strategy to develop English Integrated Reading and Writing Teaching;Class 5 of Grade 10 is the control class,which develops English Integrated Reading and Writing Teaching without this strategy.This study uses the methods of questionnaire,test and interview to explore the following two research questions:(1)What is the impact of applying the Jigsaw Strategy to Integrated Reading and Writing Teaching on senior high school students’ English writing interest?(2)What is the impact of applying the Jigsaw Strategy to Integrated Reading and Writing Teaching on senior high school students’ English writing strategy?(3)What is the impact of applying the Jigsaw Strategy to Integrated Reading and Writing Teaching on senior high school students’ English writing ability?The results show that this teaching model can improve students’ interest in English writing,help them use writing strategy and improve their writing ability.
