The paper explores the history and culture of the Liao jia Village in Long Ji,Guangxi, using the migration of the Liao ancestors, the establishment and development of the Liao jia Village as the background, tries to filter out the historical memory that belongs to the Liao jia Village, clarify the subject, object and carrier of the historical memory of the Liao jia Village, and try to summarize the transmission mode of the historical memory of the Liao jia Village based on this. The transmission of Liao jia Village historical memory mainly relies on two practices, the first being incorporating and the second being inscribing. The paper divides the transmission of historical memory into three parts.First of all,the subjects of Liao jia Village historical memory, that is,the Zhuang living inLiao jia Village, mainly carry out incorporating in their daily lives,as well as a small number of inscribing, thus completing the transmission of historical memory dependent on the subject.Secondly, the object of historical memory of Liao jia Village is transmitted through the inscribing, which is mainly written. Finally, the carriers of historical memory of the Liao jia Village, such as living spaces, village rules and regulations, oral traditions, handed down texts, folk beliefs and rituals, and festive customs and taboos, transmit their historical memory either through embodied practices, inscribed practices,or a combination of the two.The transmission mode of Liao jia Village historical memory is dominated by two kinds of practices: incorporating and inscribing,so that the historical memory of Liao jia Village can still be effectively transmitted to future generations after centuries of erosion.
