of dissemination of ideas,and the media.The guiding nature of the impact,etc.,enables it to well realize the national strategic intentions and achieve the strategic goals,which has received more and more attention from a growing number of countries,and the frequency of development has gradually increased.Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China’s diplomacy has developed rapidly and has blossomed in many places.Home diplomacy has been in full swing.At the global level,China has successively hosted the 2016 G20 Hangzhou Summit,and the two “Belt and Road” International Cooperation Summit in 2017 and 2019.The International Cooperation Summit embodies China’s determination to help the recovery of the world economy;at the regional level,the fourth summit of the 2014 Asia Interaction and Confidence Measures Conference and the 22 nd APEC Leaders’ Informal Meeting,2018 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Qingdao Summit and other activities to demonstrate relations.Through a series of home diplomatic activities since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,politically,China has strengthened the relations between China and the world’s major powers,emerging economies and developing countries,strengthened mutual friendship,and promoted multilateral political friendship;Economically,China,as the world’s second largest economy,has reached a large number of agreements through a series of home diplomatic activities,carried out a large number of projects,established special funds,and continued to carry out foreign aid to help the world economy recover;With regard to the construction of the country’s image,through a series of agenda settings and meticulous arrangements in home diplomatic activities,it has effectively conveyed the concept of China to the world,demonstrated China’s responsibilities as a world power,established its image as a major country,and strengthened it.The discourse power in the international system has enhanced cultural soft power.While China’s home diplomacy has made remarkable achievements,it is also facing challenges from all aspects.An important goal of China’s home diplomacy is to contribute to the reform of the global governance system and promote the development of global governance.However,the deficiencies and shortcomings of the current global governance system have become increasingly prominent.The impact of the COVID-19 on the existing international order,the inaction of relevant countries has led to the absence of the entity of governance,and the transformation of China’s home diplomatic achievements.In the surrounding areas,because home diplomacy is held within the borders of a country,it has high requirements on the surrounding environment.However,the surrounding geo-security environment facing China is extremely complicated,with various security issues intertwined and overlapping,historical and practical issues.Coexistence,uneven development levels of countries in the region,and increasingly fierce competition among major powers have made China’s surrounding geo-security situation not optimistic,and have also created great security challenges for China’s home diplomatic activities.At the national level,some countries are skeptical about China’s rapid development,and the "China threat theory" has emerged;China’s "neocolonialism" is rampant for China’s foreign aid and development of relations with underdeveloped countries.China’s international image has caused a negative impact,brought pressure from public opinion,and hindered the development of China’s home court diplomacy.In the face of unfavorable challenges,China must make all-out efforts,uphold a global mindset,and adhere to a global governance concept,including the principle of extensive consultation,joint contribution and shared benefits,global economic governance,global security governance,etc.,and handle well with major
