In 1848,the Communist Manifesto(hereinafter referred to as "the Manifesto")co-authored by Marx and Engels made a "complete and systematic elaboration" of Marxist theory for the first time. Its publication marks the formal birth of Marxism and scientific communism.Since then, great changes have taken place in world history, and the scientific truth revealed in this book has always been like a shining lighthouse, guiding the world socialist movement forward and the smooth development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In the new century, reconsidering and thoroughly studying its scientific communist ideology is of actual value to strongly refute absurd arguments such as the so-called "uncertainty of communism","obsolescence of communism" and"capitalism has defeated communism",and firmly understand Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with China’s characteristics in the new era. It’s also of actual value to firm communist ideals and beliefs and adhere to and develop socialism with Chinese characteristics unswervingly. This paper will make a systematic and comprehensive analysis and discussion of the Communist thought in the Manifesto from six parts,in order to deepen people’s understanding and grasp of the scientific and realistic nature of the Communist thought in the Manifesto. The first part summarizes the origin of the Communist thought in the Manifesto, the research status at home and abroad, the research methods, and the main innovations and shortcomings of this paper. The second part expounds the background of the Communist thought in the Manifesto, and traces its profound economic basis, class basis and theoretical basis. The third part traces back to the preliminary exploration of the Communist thought before the Manifesto, and explores the logical evolution process of Marx and Engels’Germination of the Communist thought in the Rhine newspaper period and the German French Yearbook period, the rudiments in the manuscript of economics and philosophy in 1844,the initial formation in the German Ideology, and then the further development in the poverty of Philosophy. The fourth part expounds the systematic construction of the Communist thought in the Manifesto, mainly including the basic connotation of communism, the historical necessity, the main force, the organizational guarantee, the fundamental way,the practical premise and the institutional basis of the realization of communism. The fifth part analyzes the basic characteristics of the Communist thought in the Manifesto, that is,taking historical materialism as the philosophical basis, taking "Two Necessities" as the logical main line, and taking modernity criticism as the interpretation perspective, and points out that it is based on the combination of the three that the Communist theory in the Manifesto has become an internal unity with strict logic. The sixth part discusses the contemporary value of the Communist thought in the Manifesto, which provides a scientific theoretical guidance for promoting the development of the world socialist movement and the reform of the global governance system, and also provides scientific theoretical guidance for contemporary China to implement the "people-centered" development thought and promote the great project of Construction of the CPC Party.
