As the "barometer" of modern society,credibility is an important ability for the government to gain public trust,and it is of great significance to the stability of social order.At present,the Internet has become the main way for the public to obtain current affairs.When negative Internet public opinion appears,its transmission speed,outbreak scope,and emotional infection are extremely destructive.The public security organs,as the "Arch Guards" for maintaining social order,have become the focus of online media coverage due to the particularity of their work.If such public opinion is not handled properly,it will easily ferment in a short period of time,forming a public opinion crisis,causing the public to question and distrust the public security organs a lot,and then become an unstable factor for the construction of a harmonious society Therefore,how to effectively respond to the negative public opinion involving the police and improve the credibility of law enforcement by public security organs has become an important issue in the current public security workThis article mainly adopts the research methods of literature review and case analysis.In the literature review,the meaning of negative public opinion and the credibility of public security organs is mainly defined by sorting out relevant research results at home and abroad.In the case analysis study,the author selects four cases of high attention and discussion among the negative public opinion on police networks in 2019 for analysis and research.By responding to the speed and quality of public opinion of public security organs,changes in public mood,and public credibility The relationship between the three variables is analyzed.Based on the attribution theory,the hypothesis that the public security agency’s response speed and quality to the public security agency’s credibility are put forward and demonstrated.According to the research conclusions,combined with the crisis management theory,digging and analyzing the deep-seated reasons behind the response to public opinion,it was found that the leading cadres of the public security organs had rigid thinking,insufficient training input,loose team discipline,insufficient new media literacy,and complicated public opinion handling procedures and responsibilities There are four main reasons,such as ambiguity and imperfect response mechanisms,and four countermeasures,including normalization of public opinion training,professionalization of personnel,specialization of departmental coordination and coordination,and improvement of response mechanisms,are proposed to accurately and effectively respond to public security organs.Negative public opinion on the Internet,repairing the credibility of public security organs and providing countermeasures.
