Confronting with the 20th’s modern crisis and the decline of librealism, all kinds of ideologies responded to the "era’s burden" from different angles. The "revival of republicanism" is undoubtedly a unique scenery in contemporary Western political theory. Hanna Arendt known as the Aristotle’s desperate daughter is the outstanding representative of the new republicanism and influences many members in republican revival movement. Hanna Arendt’s republicanism is very rich, and has formed a complete theoretical system. The aim of the thesis is to reinterpret Hanna Arendt’s political thought basing on the perspective of republicanism. The praise on public sphere and repbulican, the deep insight on the rlationship between the political action and the freedom, the criticism on anti-demoncracy, the encouragement to participatory demoncracy, and the unique interpretation on American revolution contain and receal Hanna Arendt’ republican political theory system and characteristics.
