The emergence of Zhuangzi’s political philosophy has its profound social background and humanistic background.Wars between the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were extremely frequent, and the disastrous life caused by the war gave Zhuangzi a profound ideological impact, which provided a realistic basis for his criticism of the dim politics.Zhuangzi is very likely to be descended from the nobles of Chu Kingdom, and he has the consciousness of intellectuals. He deeply reflects on the shackles of human nature brought by "doing governance",the alienation of human hearts caused by Confucianism, and the disturbance of human hearts caused by Confucianism. Therefore,Zhuangzi made a deep criticism of this, and then put forward his own political and philosophical proposition-in You Tianxia. To a certain extent,Zhuangzi’s philosophy has the effect of deconstructing the pre-Qin Confucianism. His philosophical thoughts have eliminated the rights of the monarch to a large extent and provided an opportunity for the awakening of individual consciousness.Zhuangzi saw the shortcomings of the monarchy model, and then believed that the political strategy of "Zaiyou" and "Wuwei" was the "great governance" in line with the way of heaven. He advocated a natural way of governing and abolished the constraints of external moral norms. From top to bottom, everyone follows their nature and settles their destiny. In the ideal society of Zhuangzi,he described a blueprint for society. In the nation of built virtue and the most virtuous world, there is no war or oppression,no etiquette restraint and moral bondage, people and animals can be self-sufficient,and everything is self-sufficient.There is no harm in harmony with nature.Zhuangzi’s philosophical thought has a very close connection with Taoism before Qin Dynasty.First of all,Zhuangzi developed Laozi’s thought of "inaction".Guan Yin’s thoughts of "Guiqing" and "respect" and Liezi’s "guixu" also profoundly influenced Zhuangzi’s philosophical thoughts. Finally,Zhuangzi affirmed Song Rongzi’s thoughts. There are criticisms again.Zhuangzi’s understanding of Confucian politics is profound. The etiquette and ethics advocated by Confucianism deeply constrain people’s souls.Zhuangzi believes that this is a kind of destruction to human nature. Therefore,he has a Confucian doctrine of "politicians are righteous." With a strong attitude of criticism and rejection,Zhuangzi yearned for a spiritual state of detachment and freedom. He tried to avoid the drawbacks of real politics in this way.Zhuangzi’s political philosophy also has a certain era value in contemporary times. On the positive side,Zhuangzi’s ideas of "freedom" and "equal things" have the potential to communicate with the "freedom" and "equality" of Western philosophy. The "in the world" he advocated is compatible with the market economy in today’s world. The logic has some similarities, and the "rule of Ming Wang" he hopes has similarities and complements with the "small government governance model" of the West.It is undeniable that Zhuangzi’s political philosophy has its limitations. On the one hand,he fails to dialectically view the trend of historical development and has the idea of returning to primitive society. This is against the trend of history. On the other hand, his thoughts show rejection and alienation of politics,so they are naturally not accepted by those in power and have been marginalized for a long time.
