As a universal value pursuit in modern science and technology society,scientific spirit is of great value to the development of contemporary society in China,especially the cultivation of socialist core values.It is also an inexhaustible driving force for building an innovative country and cultivating innovative talents.In addition,the Ministry of Education put forward the construction of new engineering for the first time in 2017,requiring the establishment of new engineering majors in colleges and universities to cultivate highly skilled and high-quality professionals for the development and construction of new engineering.In the process of cultivation,as the central link of the ideological and political work in colleges and universities,and as the main position of the training of new.As a universal value pursuit in modern scientific and technological society,scientific spirit is of great significance to the development of contemporary China,especially the cultivation of the Core Values of Chinese Socialism.It is also an inexhaustible driving force for constructing an innovative country and cultivating innovative people.In 2017,the Ministry of Education first put forward the construction of Emerging Engineering Education that requiring the establishment of emerging engineering majors in colleges and universities to develop high-skilled and high-quality professionals.In the process of cultivation,colleges and universities are the main position of training emerging engineering talents,and fostering character and civic virtue is an integral part of these talents’ ideological and political work.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the cultivation of the scientific spirit of emerging engineering college students.This paper takes the scientific spirit of the emerging engineering college students as the research object,and analyzes the cultivation of the object by means of literature research,experience summary,comparative analysis and questionnaire method.Under the development of emerging engineering education,It elaborates the connotation,connection and distinction of scientific spirit and scientist spirit.In the new stage of development,we should inherit and carry forward the content of scientific spirit.This paper mainly provides a theoretic framework by using the theory of Marxism about all-round development of human beings and five basis elements of ideological and political education.By adopting the method of questionnaire,it summarizes the current status of scientific spirit cultivation of the emerging engineering college students,and analyzes the reasons,then puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.This research is helpful to promote the all-round development of emerging engineering students,drive the "connotation" development of China’s higher education,inject spiritual strength into the economic and social development of China,and further promote the construction of China’s scientific and technological power.This paper is mainly divided into five parts:In the first part,the introduction analyzes the significance of the times,domestic and foreign research status,research methods and innovation points of cultivating scientific spirit of the emerging engineering college students.The second part discusses the connotation of Emerging Engineering Education,the difference and connection between scientific spirit and scientist spirit,and the related theoretical basis of cultivating scientific spirit of the emerging engineering college students.The third part analyzes the specific content of cultivating the scientific spirit for emerging engineering college students.It discusses the important value of cultivating scientific spirit from three aspects: the characteristics of emerging engineering college students,the development of national science and technology and the construction of advanced culture.In the fourth part,with the method of literature analysis and questionnaire survey,this paper analyzes the problems in the process of cultivating the scientific spirit of emerging engineering college students,and analyzes its reasons.In the fifth part,according to previous reasons,this paper puts forward the specific path selection of the emerging engineering college students’ scientific spirit cultivation from the educator,the educated,the education method and the education environment four aspects.The cultivation of scientific spirit needs the joint efforts of students,teachers,families,society and the state to form a good atmosphere of respecting and advocating science in the whole society.
