"Unity" has a different historical connotation and political culture in China’s long history.China’s concept of "unity" contains the rich levels of political,historical,cultural,ideological and many other aspects.However,tracing the formation of this road of "unity",it may be necessary to turn the eyes to the early days of ancient Chinese history.From the Western Zhou Dynasty to the Qin and Han Dynasties,this period lasted for more than 800 years.China experienced from the surface of the feudal unification of the Western Zhou Dynasty,the decline of the feudal system,the collapse of the feudal order,the centuries of national wars,the hegemony and decline of great powers,and the imperial power Arrogation and subversion...The historical developmensts eventually pointed to the road of imperial unification.The author believes that stating the difference between the two roads of unity,discussing the process of natural evolution of history is very necessary for understanding the "unity" concept rooting in our political culture,and it can also provide certain useful reference for studying Chinese contemporary political system.The first chapter of this article details the feudal unification of the Western Zhou Dynasty.First of all,starting from the original meaning of the word "feudal" in Chinese,we pointed out that the strict Chinese feudal society was in the Western Zhou period.By discussing the unified relationship between the King of Zhou and the vassals and the characteristics of the feudal system of the Western Zhou Dynasty,we further point the internal elements contained in the feudal unification of the Western Zhou Dynasty that inevitably lead to its decline and disintegration.The second chapter discusses the process of declining feudal order in the Western Zhou,including the depression of Zhou Tianzi’s authority and the vassals,and the orderly feudal unity order in the early Western Zhou Dynasty disappeared in the burning of war.The third chapter is an important chapter for the discussion of the evolution of feudal unification into the unification of centralized monarchy,and it is also the core part of the whole paper.The demonstration of the historical trend of the unification of the monarchy is mainly conducted from five aspects:political thought,political class,political system,economic and social aspects,and objective environmental factors.The thoughts of Hanfeizi and Xunzi is introduced in particular.The rise of the gentries and the suppression of the feudal aristocracy by the gentries and vassals were also introduced;The deterioration of the feudal system itself amd the influence of the development of County system in Chu,Jin,Qi and Qin were also discussed;In terms of economy and society,from the perspective of the obvious evolution of rent tax and military fu in the late Spring and Autumn Period,it shows how the disintegration of feudal unification go to the economic and social level;In terms of objective factors,the necessity of unity and centralization is explained from the perspective of natural-and man-made disasters related to the Yellow River and the huge national defense pressure from nomads.The fourth chapter discusses that the state of Qin inherited the sovereign collection of rights in the six states,and the unification in the imperial power dictatorship system determined its historical status.
