Research On Women’s Work In Jiangsu-Anhui Border Region During The War Of Liberation

The Jiangsu-Anhui Border Area,also known as the Central China Liberated Area,is one of the Liberated Areas established by the Communist Party of China after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.During the construction of the Liberated Area,the Communist Party of China fully recognized the important role of women,who account for half of the population,in the revolution,and adopted a series of policies.They have carried out extensive mobilization and education,encouraged women to come out of the narrow world of the family,and called on women to participate in the support and production activities of the army.Under special circumstances,the Party organizations in the Jiangsu-Anhui Border Area implemented the guiding policies of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,formulated a series of specific policies for women’s work in light of the reality of the liberated areas,organized women’s production campaigns centered on spinning,literacy classes and other educational activities,as well as women and children’s education activities.Health care campaigns,popularization of cultural education among women,etc.It has taken measures to encourage women by establishing a model of women’s labor and production,carry out family ideological education,reform the traditional marriage system,and help women get rid of the shackles of feudal families;hold literacy classes,publicize maternal and child health knowledge,and maintain women’s physical and mental health;cultivate local women’s cadres and promote women’s social status.The work of women in the border areas of Jiangsu and Anhui has promoted the increasing proportion of women’s economic contribution in the family and society,women have gradually gained a voice in political activities,and the proportion of illiterate women in rural areas has become smaller and smaller.In addition,women successively walked out of the family and into the society,producing labor and supporting the army,and participating in the production movement centered on spinning,which provided the victory of the war of liberation in a special period when material and human resources were extremely scarce.Adequate material security.The Chinese Communist Party’s policy on women in the Jiangsu-Anhui Border Region has,to a large extent,provided a strong guarantee for safeguarding women’s rights and interests and promoting women’s liberation.The women’s work in the Jiangsu and Anhui border areas also has some shortcomings,and there are also some unfavorable tendencies such as formalism in the course of action.Summarizing the experience and lessons of women’s work in the Jiangsu and Anhui border areas has certain inspiration and reference for women’s work in contemporary China.
