In order to deepen the understanding of Chinese major table tennis opponents’technique&tactic features, keeping the advantage and glorious history of Chinese male table tennis team, this study employed the method of literature review, video observation, statistics analysis and so on methods, taken Harimoto Tomokazu, one of Japanese male table tennis main force,as research subject, analyzed 30 matches in which Tomokazu participated from 2017-2019,studied technique&tactic features based on dynamic three phases evaluation method from the perspectives of service&attack phase, receive&attack phase and stalemate phase so as to summarize his playing features, exploring his advantages and disadvantages.Through detailed study on Tomokazu’s techniques&tactics, this study came up with the following main conclusions:1.Overall,under the frame of dynamic three phases evaluation method,Tomokazu performed best in service&attack phase, stalemate ranked the second, and receive&attack performed the worst. The performance when played against right-handed players were better than that of the left-handed players in all three phases.2.In service&attack phase,Tomokazu mainly used forehand short service, and side spin services socred the most points. For the combo of forehand short service followed by transitional techniques, forehand had good effect on scoring, and backhand transition performed not well when playing against right-handed players. For change of ball routes, except for returning straight shot with diagonal line strike against right-handed player failed to create ideal scoring results, all other changes on ball route created relative ideal effect in which he was good at compressing the opponents’backhand first then change the ball route to opponents’forehand. When played against left-handed players,Tomokazu had relative low success returning rate when he used his backhand to make straight line returns.3.In stalemate phase,Tomokazu frequently used backhand twist loop to receive. To initiate attacks by attacking short balls, the scoring effect when played against right-handed players were better than played against left-handed players. However,to initiate attack by returning long balls was contrary to the situation of returning short balls. For change of ball routes,Tomokazu mainly changed ball routes towards opponents’forehand and backhand when playing against right-handed players and created good scoring effect. However,Tomokazu made many mistakes with backhand returns to the opponents’backhand when conducting the ball route change tactic of“press opponents’forehand first then change to backhand”.4.In stalemate phase, points were mainly lost after the 6th strike. When playing against right-handed players, after receiving&control, the 6th strike with backhand had the best scoring effect, but forehand and other transition technique combos had bad scoring effect. When playing against left-handed players,Tomokazu’s weak points lied on forehand defense and lack of technique combos as stable scoring points. For changes of ball routes,Tomokazu mainly adopted the routes combo of pressing opponent’s right space first and change to left,or pressing the left and change to right.Based on the above conclusions, suggestions for the national table tennis teams are as follows:1.Domestic right-handed players should improve the quality of control techniques, mainly make short drops to the little triangle area of the opponent’s forehand position.2.Domestic right-handed players should increase the transition speed of the first three strikes, using speed to compress the opponent.3.Domestic left-handed players should enhance backhand counter attack ability with long distance ball placements.4.Domestic left-handed players should improve the awareness of changing ball routes when playing rallies, increasing the use of forehand diagonal line loops.
