A Comparative Analysis Of The Techniques And Tactics Of Fan Zhendong And Harimoto Tomokazu In The World Excellent Men's Table Tennis Players

Fan Zhendong and Harimoto Tomokazu have made outstanding achievements in the past three years,and both have become the world's super-class table tennis players.Their technical characteristics represent the development trend of present skills and tactics to a certain extent.This thesis uses the literature data method,video observation method,three-stage statistical method and mathematical to study their skills and techniques in 32 important competitions from 2017 to 2019,based on the comparative analysis of the skills and techniques.This paper focuses on their application of the techniques of left and right hand players during the competition,the results are as follows:Firstly,in the rushing section,Fan's usage rate was low,and the scoring rate reached a good level.However,Harimoto's usage rate was evaluated high,and was at the passing degree.Fan's rushing consciousness was conservative,and the third attack was full of backhand offensive techniques,and he could guarantee a high level of attack on the premise of ensuring stability.Harimoto attacked proactively,pursuing the third reception of high quality but more active faults.Secondly,in the pick-up section,Fan had a high usage rate and a good scoring rate while Harimoto's usage rate was high and his scoring rate was excellent.Their serving and receiving skills were mainly screwing.Fan paid more attention on the connection of the second and forth reception,his receiving skills and tactics were more focused on destroying the opponent's service and attacking tactics,creating opportunities for the nest offense.However,Harimoto's second reception was more abundant than Fan,for example the lines changed more,but the second and forth reception were not good as Fan.Thirdly,in the phase-holding section,Fan's usage rate was low,the scoring rate was at the passing level while Harimoto's usage rate was low,and the scoring rate was unsatisfactory.There was no obvious loophole in Fan's phase-back techniques.The continuity of the last reception was dominated by the stalemate state.However,the returning line of the stalemate process was relatively fixed,and the quality of the change line was not high.Harimoto's phase-holding section was more dependent on the backhand,his forehand was dominated by the fast-track but the effect was not ideal.At the same time,his strength of entering the phase-holding section was obviously inferior,the frequency of the passive state of the last reception was higherthan that of Fan.Lastly,in the comparison of the skills and tactics between them and other players,they had a strong sense of attacking the left-handers,but the stability need to be improved.Fan's awareness of the right-handers as not good as Harimoto's,but the success rate was much higher than that of Harimoto.Fan had achieved good results for different players,performing more actively when competing with left-handers.Harimoto's offensive consciousness was stong when facing with both left-handers and right-handers,and the quality of the second board was better for the right-handed player.Fan performed better with the left-handed players and strengthened the active-changing ability when facing with the right-handers while Harimoto was not accustomed to the changes in the line of the left-handed return balls in the phase,the speed advantage was not exerted under the premise that the power was in the downwind,and the overall effect was not satisfactory.Harimoto was able to achieve good results in the technique of the right-hander's backhand straight line but his forehand ability needs to be strengthened.
