Sprinting is a speed event dominated by physical ability,which requires athletes to complete the limited race distance in as short a time as possible.One of the most intuitive ways to affect their performance is the speed of athletes,and speed and strength have an inseparable relationship.Speed strength plays an important role in sprinting power quality,so it is crucial to explore how to improve sprinter’s speed strength level more effectively.Flywheel training,as a new type of strength training,was initially applied in the field of aerospace,mainly to improve the conditions of muscle atrophy,bone density loss and cardiopulmonary function decline of astronauts in the weightless environment,so as to ensure the successful completion of space missions.With the cross-disciplinary development,flywheel training equipment has been gradually promoted from military products to civilian products,and the existing research results show that flywheel training can effectively develop the lower limb muscle strength of athletes.Therefore,this article through the methods of literature,expert interview,experiment and mathematical statistics.Taking the effect of flywheel half squat training on sprinter’s lower limbs rapid strength as the research object,this paper compares and analyzes the difference between flywheel half squat training and barbell half squat training,hoping to provide valuable reference for coaches and athletes in sports training practice.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)For the 30 meter run,60 meter run and 20 meter single jump,both the flywheel half squat training and barbell half squat training showed significant improvement after the experiment,but the flywheel half squat training had better training effect on the 30 meter run,which was more conducive to the development of sprinter’s acceleration ability and lower limb speed strength.(2)For the three performance indexes of standing long jump,countermovement jump(CMJ)and squat jump(SJ),both flywheel half squat training and barbell half squat training showed significant improvement,but flywheel half squat training had better training effect on standing long jump and countermovement jump(CMJ),while barbell half squat training had better training effect on squat jump(SJ).(3)For the 1RM half squat index,both flywheel half squat training and barbell half squat training showed significant improvement after the experiment,indicating that both kinds of training can develop the maximum strength of lower limbs,which is consistent with the common sense that the improvement of maximum strength is the basis of the improvement of other forms of strength.(4)Both the flywheel half squat and barbell half squat training have obvious improvement effect on sprinter’s lower limb strength.Although there was no significant difference in the 60 meter run,20 meter single jump and standing triple jump between the two kinds of training,it could be seen from the improvement degree that the flywheel half squat training had a better training effect.
