Research On Competency Model Of National Technical Officials Of Snowboard And Freestyle Skiing In The Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games

The Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games is one of the most important international sports event for China in recent years.Beijing and Zhangjiakou will be the focus of the whole world then.As the host,China will organize the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games by high standards compared to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.According to the experience and lessons learned from the controversial referees of some events in the Pingchang Olympic Winter Games,which attracted worldwide attention and discussion,China have to try it best to ensure that the organization of the competition is perfect.To achieve the goal,there must be highlevel technical officials.As the core force of the Winter Olympic technical officials-national technical officials,they will be in charge of running the competition.Combining the actual situation of the talent reserve of China’s winter sports,training and establishing a high-level NTOs team is a giant challenge facing China as the host.This study takes the typical behavioral characteristics and competence factors of NTOs of snowboard and freestyle skiing in the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games as the research object.Through combing relevant literature and key event analysis,this paper extracts the explicit and implicit competencies of NTOs,based on this,qualitative and quantitative research methods are used to classify the competencies into different dimensions,and a theoretical structure model of the competencies of NTOs is initially constructed.Specially,there will be a questionnaire of competencies.Then,the effective data collected through the questionnaire will be used for mathematical analysis,exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.Finally,we design the application procejures of the NTOs’ competency model,which conclude selection,training and career planning.The result shows that the competency model of NTOs of snowboarding and freestyle skiing in the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games is composed of 4dimensions and contains 16 competencies.Management competencies: sports events management,self promotion,interpersonal communication,problem solving and task orientation;Professional qualification: judging experience,technical skills,instant reaction and environmental adaptation;Personal characteristics: teamwork,willpower,professional ethics and achievement motivation;Cognitive competency: competition rules learning,foreign language proficiency and disciplinary knowledge.
