A Comparative Study On The Competition System And Athlete Management Of College Students Volleyball League Between China And The United States

Volleyball has a brilliant development history in China.Chinese women’s volleyball once won the world five consecutive titles,which has boosted the national morale for the development of Chinese volleyball.While the national team of Chinese women’s volleyball is in full swing,the development of College Volleyball in our country is not warm,but relatively speaking,the development of College Volleyball League in the United States is attracting worldwide attention.Based on this,this study takes the competition system of the College Volleyball League and the management of the sports team as the starting point,explores the differences between the Chinese and American College Volleyball League,and explores the new path of the development of the College Volleyball League in China on the basis of summarizing the disadvantages of the current system.By using the methods of literature,expert interview,comparative analysis and logical analysis,this paper draws the following conclusions:In terms of organizational structure,the organizational structure of the Chinese and American College Volleyball League is relatively perfect,with clear responsibilities and rights.However,under the current system of our country,the college volleyball branch is strongly restricted by the superior departments,and the American College Volleyball branch has more efficient independent management power;In terms of competition rules,both sides implement regional competition system.However,the Chinese College Volleyball League is significantly less than the American College Volleyball League in terms of the setting of the competition area or the composition of the participating teams,which results in the relatively low participation of the Chinese College Volleyball League;In the aspect of athlete management,American colleges and universities pay more attention to athletes’ academic performance than Chinese colleges and universities.In order to take special care of College Students’ athletes,Chinese colleges and universities replace academic performance with athletic performance,which results in the overall low cultural quality of College Students’ athletes;In terms of coach selection and employment,the coaches of volleyball team in China and the United States adopt the way of applying for jobs.However,the employment standard of Chinese University coaches is relatively low,the energy of leading the team is scattered by scientific research and other affairs,the income is divorced from the work performance,the selection and employment of American university volleyball team coaches is more strict,and the contract system of salary and work is implemented;In terms of funds and logistical support,there are many sources of funds,sufficient funds and sound logistical support system.The funding source of College Volleyball League in China is relatively single and insufficient,and the lack of logistics support system seriously restricts the expansion and development of the league.
