Influenced by the thought of positive psychology,sport psychology has changed the focus on issues or symptoms,such as "anxiety"、"stress" and "burnout",and began to focus on the environment or process that promotes athletes to perform optimal functions and gain a sense of thriving.Thriving means that an individual experiences the mental state of "vitality" and "learning" at the same time,which includes two dimensions:vitality and learning.As an important indicator to measure the internal cognition and emotional status of athletes,the study of thriving is of important significance.It not only helps to grasp the change rules of athletic vitality and learning,and to provide a theoretical basis for exploring athletes’ potential advantages.Accordingly,It is helpful to promote the individual development and sport performance of athletes,which is of great realistic significance to the sustainable development of individuals and organizations.The generation of thriving is a dynamic two-way process between human beings and the environment.The athletic thriving is affected by the extrinsic factors,such as the coach supportive behaviors,and the intrinsic factor,such as the athletic mental toughness.Based on sports psychology,using Thriving scale、Coach supportive behaviors scale、mental toughness scale to survey 610 elite athletes.In order to explore the status qua characteristics.After that,this study aims to explore the relationship between coach supportive behaviors,athletic mental toughness and the athletic thriving.The main conclusions:(1)Overall,Chinese athletic thriving is high;In the two dimensions of the thriving,the vitality scores higher than the leaming.Male athletes’ thriving and vitality is higher than female,Athletes over 18 years old have a higher learning than those who aged 18 and below,The thriving and its two dimensions of athletes who without sports grades are higher than other groups,Thriving and its two dimensions of athletes with a training period of 4 years and below are higher than other groups.(2)Coach supportive behaviors significantly positively predicted athletic thriving,except the two dimensions to athletic thriving.The three dimensions of the coach’s support behavior have different degrees of predictive power,of which the competence-support has the strongest influence,the relatedness-support is the second,and the autonomy-support has the weakest influence.(3)Athletic mental toughness significantly positively predicted athletic thriving,except the two dimensions to athletic thriving.(4)Athletic mental toughness mediates the coach supportive behaviors and the athletic thriving,except the two dimensions to athletic thriving.
