Analysis Of Influencing Factors Of Children’s Intergenerational Support On Life Satisfaction Of Rural Elderly

With social transformation and social modernization in our country,more and more rural young and middle-aged labor force to leave home and land,lead to family size de creases,family and social resources available to the elderly,this is also one of the main r easons that lonely old man,no family children beside the old man,suffer mental and ph ysical pressure.In rural areas,most of the phenomenon is that children go out for work,resulting in the loss of care and emotional support for the elderly that should be borne b y their children.In this way,the degree of the elderly to accept the care of their children will be reduced,and they cannot take good care of themselves,even affecting their basic life,based on the current way of life of the elderly in rural areas in China,however,mo st of the newspaper with aging parents live with their children in the concept of the elder ly,are now under a psychological pain can’t together,and in the life most depend on thei r offspring’s intergenerational help,intergenerational support and the degree of intergene rational support,can say children will have a significant impact on the lives of the rural elderly satisfaction.Under such a social background,this study,from the perspective of children’s intergenerational support,ensures the family harmony of the rural elderly to e nsure their physical and mental health and improves their subjective well-being.Using literature analysis,access to a large number of relevant data from China heal th and retirement survey（CHARLS）access to relevant data,the object of study for the r ural elderly,using the theory of three（maslow’s demand theory,the theory of intergener ational solidarity and social exchange theory）,in order to better study the intergeneratio nal support children’s influence on the rural elderly endowment life satisfaction,descript ive statistical analysis,binary Logistic regression model is set up,the children of interge nerational support on the relationship between the rural elderly life satisfaction and emp irical analysis.The core concept of this study,namely,children’s intergenerational suppo rt,mainly refers to the help that the elderly receive from their children in three aspects,namely,financial support,daily care and emotional comfort.The results show that there are many factors affecting the life satisfaction of the rural elderly.Among the control va riables,the physical health and marital status of the rural elderly have a significant impa ct on their life satisfaction.Among the three factors influencing children’s intergeneratio nal support,the higher the economic support,the higher the satisfaction of the elderly w ith life,which is also the most important factor,followed by the other two factors.It can be concluded from this result that the family intergenerational relationship of Chinese s tyle is gradually changing.At present,it has become a reality for young rural labor force to go out for work.What they should do is to provide financial support to improve their parents’ life at home,accompany them daily,and use communication tools such as telep hone instead.This study analyzes the rural elderly from three aspects:themselves,famil y and society,and puts forward corresponding research conclusions and countermeasure s for improving the life satisfaction of the elderly with their children’s intergenerational support.
