With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and machine learning,Development Planning for a New Generation of Artificial Intelligence suggest setting artificial intelligence courses in primary and secondary schools.Python,as a simple and handy programming language,is being included in the information technology textbooks in the primary school.But the current Python programming curriculum resources for primary school students are relatively scarce.To meet the learning needs of students and avoid the stereotype that brought by the traditional teaching methods.This article integrates the concept of game-based teaching into the Python micro-curriculum resources design and development in primary schools,and get better results in teaching that not only expend the Python programming resources but also arouse students learning interests in it.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)Deeply analyze the concepts,relevant theories and domestic and foreign research status of game-based teaching and micro-course,and select the gamification design elements used in this study--narrative and badge.According to the cognitive development characteristics and existing knowledge structure of grade 5 and 6 students,referencing Little Genius to Learn Python,the textbook of Primary School Information Technology for the first half of the sixth grade pulished by Qingdao in 2017 and the contents teached by children’s programming organizations.According to the teaching requirements of Basic Education Information Technology Curriculum Standards(2012edition),determine the main points of Python micro-curriculum resources in this research.(2)According to the characteristics and content of the micro-course,the design strategy of the Python micro-course was formulated by using the badge and narrative elements in the game-based teaching,and the design principles were clarified.Based on ADDIE model,combined with design strategies and principles,This artical designed and developed the series of micro-course resources of Adventures in the PythonKingdom,which are 7 sections in total.(3)Through interviews,this article adopt the advice suggested by the information technology teachers in primary school and children’s programming institute on the series of micro-course resources of Adventures in the Python Kingdom to improve the quality of micro-course resources.Then 58 students from class 6,grade 5,a primary school in linwei district,weinan city,shaanxi province,were given the practice.Finally,the application effect of primary Python micro-curriculum resources based on game-based teaching is evaluated through detailed analysis of data such as teacher interview,student satisfaction questionnaire and final test results.The results of the study show that the integration of game-based teaching concepts into primary school Python micro-curriculum resources can stimulate students’ interests and enthusiasm in learning;students can get good test results at the end of class and achieve the expected teaching goals;students’ learning effects are good.Micro courses have been recognized by teachers and students.
