| China is a multi-ethnic country.Various cultures collide with each other and play a role in individual growth.Secondary school is the turning point of individual maturity.They are facing pressure from their studies.Therefore,their study investment has received widespread attention.The role of parents and secondary school students in this is incomparable.Therefore,this is of great significance in all aspects.It is important to study the impact of parents and middle school students on learning investment.In this paper,a survey of 1,290 secondary school students in Wuzhong,Ningxia and Changyang,Yichang,using a questionnaire on parental cultural maintenance,identity,self-esteem and academic engagement scale.The relationship between learning and investment.The results are as follows:(1)Middle school students’ parental cultural maintenance has distinct difference in gender,grade,family finances,and family member relationships;(2)Marked differences in the identity of secondary school students in gender,grade,family location,family finances,and family member relationships;(3)Marked differences in self-esteem of secondary school students in gender,grade,family finances,and family member relationships;(4)The academic engagement of secondary school students has distinct difference in ethnicity,grade,family location,whether parents go out to work,and family member relationships;(5)Parental cultural maintenance is positively related to identity,self-esteem,and academic engagement in secondary school students.Parental cultural maintenance plays a positive predictive role in identity,self-esteem,and academic engagement.(6)The identity of secondary school students has a marked positive relationship with self-esteem and academic engagement.Self-esteem and academic engagement can be positively predicted by identity.(7)The self-esteem of secondary school students has a marked positive relationship with academic engagement,and academic engagement can be positivelypredicted by self-esteem.(8)There is partial mediating effects of secondary school student identity between parental cultural maintenance and academic engagement.(9)The self-esteem of secondary school students part of intermediary work between parental cultural maintenance and academic engagement.(10)Middle school students ’identity and self-esteem play a chain mediating role between parental cultural maintenance and academic engagement.On the basis of the study,the following mental health educational suggestions are proposed:(1)In daily life,parents need to strengthen communication with their children,pass on local culture and customs to their children,and can affect their children in a subtle way through festivals and family dressing.(2)Parents give their children more attention and support so that they can more accurately recognize themselves and affirm their worth,thereby improving their self-esteem.(3)Schools can provide relevant mental health education courses,through professional teachers,formulate relevant courses,and reasonably arrange teaching content.(4)The school offers a wealth of interest activities to enable students to understand themselves in a comprehensive and multi-angled manner.(5)In daily teaching,teachers should conduct education guidance according to the uniqueness of individual students. |
