With the increasing number of college students,the problem of "difficult employment" for college students has attracted wide attention.Job search behavior,as an important factor to predict the success of job search,has been increasingly valued by scholars.Job search behavior will be affected by feedback,and obtaining valuable information from the feedback will help job-seekers in their subsequent job search,while the feedback quality reflects the effectiveness of the feedback,high quality feedback can help job-seekers to clarify their current state,measure the difference between the state and the target state,and promote the adjustment of the subsequent job search.Therefore,this study discussed the influence of feedback quality on college students’ job search behavior,and introduced metacognitive strategies and performance avoidance goal orientation,to further explored the mediating and moderating effect between the two.This study consists of two studies.In study 1,192 job searching college students were selected to revised feedback quality questionnaire,in order to provide an appropriate measurement tool for the subsequent study.Then,462 college students who are in job searching were selected to explore the correlational relationship between feedback quality and job search behavior.In study 2,120 college students were selected to discusse the influence of feedback quality on college students’ job search behavior by manipulating different feedback qualities,clarified the causal relationship between the two,and further explores the mediating and moderating effects of metacognitive strategy and performance avoidance goal orientation.The results are as follows:(1)The revised feedback quality questionnaire had good reliability and validity,and could effectively measure the quality of feedback received by job seekers.(2)Feedback quality can positively predict the job search behavior of college students,it is,the higher feedback quality is,the higher job search behavior.(3)Metacognitive strategies play a mediating role in the relationship betweenfeedback quality and job search behavior of college students,it is,feedback quality influences job search behavior through metacognitive strategies.(4)Performance avoidance goal orientation plays a moderating role in the relationship between feedback quality and metacognitive strategies,feedback quality had no positive effect on metacognitive strategies at the high level of performance avoidance goal.
