Sociality is the most important and essential attribute of human beings, and individual social needs affect all aspects of people’s behaviors.Social exclusion,as a negative life event that damages individual social needs,is very common in college students, which will cause many adverse effects on the development of individual mental health. The use of mobile phones is closely related to people’s social needs, but excessive use of mobile phones will lead to mobile phone addiction, which will also lead to individual maladjustment and other potential risks.Among college students, the potential rate of mobile phone addiction is very high, and the problem can not be ignored. Therefore, this study attempts to explore the possible influence mechanism between social exclusion and mobile phone addiction among college students through questionnaire measurement and behavioral experiment, and attempts to use related addiction indicators to explore the possible relationship between social exclusion and mobile phone addiction. In the first study, the relationship between long-term social exclusion and mobile phone addiction in college students was explored by questionnaire measurement, and the mediating role of psychological resilience in the relationship was examined. In the second study,we used the recall priming paradigm and the point detection paradigm to explore the relationship between social exclusion and individual mobile phone attentional bias,so as to understand the possible mechanism of social exclusion and individual mobile phone addiction. In the third study, the relationship between social exclusion and individuals’desire for mobile phone use was examined using an implicit association test based on the second study. The above three studies attempt to answer the possible relationship between social exclusion and mobile phone addiction and the possible mechanism of social exclusion to mobile phone addiction. The final research results show that:1.Long-term social exclusion has a significant positive correlation with mobile phone addiction, social exclusion has a significant negative correlation with psychological resilience, and psychological resilience has a significant negative correlation with mobile phone addiction.Social exclusion has a partial mediating effect on individual mobile phone addiction through the role of psychological resilience.2.The social exclusion group showed attentional bias to mobile phone-related stimuli, while the social acceptance group showed no attentional bias to mobile phone-related stimuli.3.The social exclusion group showed an implicit approach bias to the pictures of mobile phone use, which may indicate that the rejection group was induced by the implicit craving for mobile phone use. Finally, the shortcomings of this study are analyzed and discussed. The use of long-term longitudinal follow-up study, the selection of more accurate indicators of addiction and the supplement of cognitive neuroscience research methods are the directions for future research to be further expanded.
