Modern information technology has made a huge change on students’ access to information,learning methods and teachers’ teaching methods,which has brought a subversive impact on traditional teaching.There is an urgent need for a teaching method which can disseminate knowledge and help students understand and master knowledge more efficiently.As a way of presenting knowledge and information,knowledge visualization not only can be used to assist in teachers’ instructional design process,but also be used as a tool for learners’ internal cognition.It is of great significance to apply knowledge visualization to teaching methods and teaching resources design to promote effective teaching and learning.In order to make knowledge visualization better serve classroom teaching,this paper puts forward the concept of graphic design based on knowledge visualization from the perspective of visual design,and explores how to better use visual design means to assist teaching.The main research work is as follows:Firstly,the background of knowledge visualization and the research status at home and abroad are summarized,and the related concepts such as knowledge visualization and graphic design are discriminated and defined.Through the study of relevant literature and books,the graphic theory,dual coding theory,visual thinking theory and instructional design theory are selected as the theoretical basis of this paper,which provides theoretical support for the following knowledge visualization design methods,ideas and design process.Secondly,a knowledge visualization design framework for curriculum teaching resources is proposed.Based on the theory of knowledge visualization,and combines the relevant theories and design methods of instructional design and visual communication design,this paper analyzes the visual presentation of knowledge visualization from the aspects of visual presentation form,visual element,design pattern and so on.Then it explores how teachers can better use graphic language to design teaching resources from the three dimensions of knowledge content,visual orientation and students’ position,and puts forward the methods,principles and processes of knowledge visualization design for course teaching resources.Finally,the information technology course of senior high school is selected as a practical case,apply and design some of the knowledge contents in the second chapter of the new textbook Integration of Information Systems to verify the previous theoretical research.By means of questionnaire survey and evaluation scale,the effect of applying the case designed in this paper in classroom is investigated and analyzed.The survey results show that the knowledge visualization design concept based on graphic language proposed in this paper has a good effect in classroom teaching practice and has been recognized by students and teachers.In this way teaching design can not only improve students’ learning interest and enthusiasm,but also promote students’ understanding and mastery of knowledge and the cultivation of students’ associative thinking and innovative consciousness.Knowledge visualization graphic design can not only promote the teaching effect,but also provide reference for design methods and patterns for related contents.This research needs to be improved and supplemented in further practice.
