| STEM education is very important for the whole development of young children,for children’s growth has important significance for the development of mathematical ability,STEM education activities can be a effective carrier,early childhood education for young children’s development also has important value of mathematical ability,but in the past by STEM education activities to study the condition of children’s mathematical ability development is relatively small the subjects of this study is from Kaifeng in He Nan Province of a random sample of 138 children in a kindergarten of experimental classes and that in comparative classes,there are 69 children respectively GSM experimental classes 34 people,middle shift that in comparative classes 34 people;35 students in the experimental class and 35 students in the control class carried out STEM education activities for the children in the experimental class.No implementation and intervention of STEM education activities were carried out for the children in the control class.The influence of STEM education activities on children’s mathematical ability was verified by educational experiment method through three months ’education and teaching intervention.The results showed that compared with the control class,the children in the experimental class showed a greater improvement in their early mathematical ability,including number comparison,number reading,mathematical fact,mathematical operation and number concept,as well as the total score.In the middle class,the children in the experimental class have a great improvement in the three parts of mathematical ability,namely number reading,writing,mathematical fact and mathematical operation,as well as the total score.Army of experimental classes children’s mathematical facts in mathematics and mathematical operation on this two parts and the total score also has great promote young children’s mathematical ability experience level in more than the six parts,and presents the different change on total score,but on the whole,as the STEM education activities to develop improved in large classes of the children compared with that in comparative classes in math ability to count the number of mathematical facts more digital,speaking,reading and writing There are obvious differences in the six parts of mathematical operation and number concept as well as the total score,indicating that STEM education intervention has a positive effect on the math ability of middle and upper class children,and activity intervention is effective.This study draws the following conclusions: STEM education activities are conducive to the improvement of middle class children’s math ability.Middle class experimental class children show a great improvement in the three parts of their math ability,namely,number reading,writing,math facts and math operations,as well as the total score.STEM education activities are conducive to the improvement of children’s math ability in the big class.Children in the experimental class of the big class also show great improvement in the two parts of their math ability,mathematical facts and mathematical operations,as well as the total score.This study puts forward the following Suggestions: Effective use of STEM education activities to promote the development of children’s mathematical ability;To improve the guidance level of teachers in STEM education activities to improve math ability;Increase opportunities for math skills in other STEM educational environments. |
