Cross-cultural adaptation refers to the phenomenon of continuous cultural contact between two groups of individuals and different cultures,resulting in changes in the original cultural patterns of one or both parties.Intercultural psychological adaptation refers specifically to changes in the values,attitudes,identities,and behaviors of individuals after exposure to different cultures.With the development of economic globalization and education abroad,scholars from all walks of life have shifted the research object of cross-cultural adaptation from the initial immigration to the international students.So far,the cross-cultural adaptation study of international students has focused more on the cross-cultural adaptation of international students in China.As a fast-growing group,Chinese students are increasingly receiving attention from the academic community.Many scholars have done a lot of research on the overseas cultural adaptation of Chinese students,and have achieved a series of valuable results.However,there are not many studies on the cross-cultural psychological adaptation of overseas Chinese students,and there is no research specifically to explore Chinese students.The situation in Kyrgyzstan.From this perspective,the researcher objectively demonstrates the overall status of cross-cultural psychological adaptation of Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan through the investigation and study of the cross-cultural psychological adaptation of Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan,and proposes relevant issues based on the problems reflected by the Institute.Suggestions to help the academic community master more cases,summarize the rules of cross-cultural adaptation and guide practice,can also help Chinese students better understand and adapt to learning and living in Kyrgyzstan.The researchers used a combination of questionnaires and interviews to reach a preliminary conclusion by issuing questionnaires to Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan.Most of the Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan have different levels of psychological depression.Age,ethnicity,length of study abroad,status of study abroad,professional background and Russian level are the main factors affecting the adaptation of Chinese students to cross-cultural psychology in Kyrgyzstan.Family,relatives and friends are important social support to promote the intercultural psychological adaptation of Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan.The researchers conducted interviews with some Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan to analyze the interview results and then supplemented the preliminary conclusions: in the case of psychological discomfort,the methods of self-psychological adjustment are different,but few people seek professional help.In terms of social and cultural adaptation,in terms of living environment,everyone generally adapts well in these aspects.Events involving cultural customs and values are the most difficult for international students.Social and cultural adaptation is closely related to psychological adaptation.In addition,the choice of international students has a great influence on their cross-cultural adaptation.The pressure of foreign students affects their cross-cultural psychological adaptation.Random events during their study will also affect their cross-cultural psychological adaptation.In order to help Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan improve their cross-cultural psychological adaptation level,the researchers believe that they can start from the following aspects.One is for Chinese students themselves,the other is to improve the social support of Chinese students in Kyrgyzstan,and the third is to strengthen university management.
