Research On The Technical And Tactical Characteristics Of British Table Tennis Player Pitchford

In recent years,the record of British star Pitchford has attracted attention.my country’s main men’s table tennis players Ma Long and Xu Xin,and the main Japanese men’s team Zhang Benzhihe have all lost to him.The reasons are as follows:On the one hand,since the 11-point system was implemented on September 1,2001,the contingency of the game has greatly increased,and the unpopularity has continued to make it difficult to predict the outcome;on the other hand,the current world’s high-level male athletes have more power gaps.The smaller the number,the improper handling of technical and tactical details,and the possibility of being easily seized by opponents,and the possibility of losing in the world competition.The more detailed and comprehensive research on the world men’s professional table tennis opponents,the greater the probability of winning in the competition.To better understand the characteristics of Pitchford’s skills and tactics,this article uses literature methods,video observation methods,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis methods to study and analyze the use of skills and tactics in 20 major international competitions in the past three years.The following conclusions are drawn through research:1.From the perspective of serving rounds,Pitchford’s overall scoring rate is more than half,with the lowest scoring rate against Chinese athletes and the highest against Asian athletes.This shows that Chinese athletes have higher quality when receiving Pitchford’s serve.Did not get a better offensive opportunity.However,Asian and European athletes have weaker serve quality.Pitchford is able to take the initiative when he has the right to serve and gain more points.Pitchford’s serve styles vary,including downspin,side downspin,and counter-spin,etc.Mastering a variety of serve techniques,making use of different serve in different stages and situations in the game,and strive to respond positively.,From the game,we can also find that Pitchford actively attacked after serving,seized the opportunity,and preempted the advanced technology and tactics concept.2.From the perspective of receiving rounds,Pitchford’s overall scoring rate is relatively low,only 43.5%.When serving Chinese and European players,he cannot control the incoming ball well,resulting in passive receiving rounds.More points.From the game video,it can be seen that in terms of receiving and serving the second board,the receiving and serving of the second board is more fierce,especially the challenge technique,which lacks a certain degree of stability,and brings unnecessary fearless errors to himself.But his split-length technique is just right,and he can always gain a certain upper hand,paving the way for his serve-receiving attack.His stalemate loss rate after receiving eight rebounds was also relatively high,especially against Chinese and European athletes.The loss rates were58.6% and 61.2% respectively.In the subsequent multi-board stalemate,Pitchford’s The foundation is not deep enough.3.From the point of view of the stalemate after serving seven rebounds and receiving eight rebounds,Pitchford mainly uses the first few rebounds in his game,and he uses less stalemate after seven and eight rebounds.When Pitchford played against Chinese and European athletes,his scoring rate was lower than the loss rate.On the one hand,Chinese athletes have solid basic skills,especially the multi-board connection between the near stage and the COSCO stage.On the one hand,European athletes have great strength and strong rotation,and they also have a certain advantage in the stalemate of the Zhongyuan platform.Pitchford has no good way to deal with this and reverse the situation.Against Asian athletes,the scoring rate was 56.6% higher than the loss rate of 43.4%.Asian athletes were thin and weak.Pitchford was able to take advantage of his height and arm length to effectively fight,and he had the upper hand in stalemate.
