Research On The Cultivation Of College Students’ National Identity Consciousness

National identity consciousness is citizens’ evaluation and emotional expression of their own country,which is the basic expression of identity and support for national legitimacy.It represents the national acceptance and recognition of various domestic public authorities,and can form a sense of self-belonging and an emotional and behavioral tendency willing to contribute to it.From the content point of view,national identity consciousness is a kind of emotional identity to multiple factors such as national and ethnic identity,political road,ideology,history and culture,including identity,political identity and cultural identity.The cultivation of college students’ national identity consciousness is the value construction that the national identity consciousness adapts to the subject of college students.They can receive good cultivation of national identity consciousness in their own development stage,internalize their spiritual identity and make their psychological and behavioral choices adapt to the overall development of the country.Faced with the complicated social environment and the influx of foreign ideological trends,exquisite egoism,extreme nationalism,historical nihilism and other thoughts are rampant among college students.Many students have biased and insufficient understanding of the history,reality and future development of the country,and need to strengthen education and guidance.The cultivation of college students’ sense of national identity is a process in which the government,universities,social organizations,college students and other subjects make joint efforts.The purpose of cultivating college students’ sense of national identity in China is to guide college students to strengthen their "four self-confidences",generate strong psychological belonging to various undertakings of the party and the country,and highlight powerful spiritual power for realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In this study,five universities in Sichuan Province were taken as examples to investigate the current situation of the cultivation of college students’ national identity consciousness.Based on the concepts and main contents of national identity,the research design of the current academic research on national identity related topics was selected,and finally a questionnaire survey on the cultivation of college students’ national identity consciousness was formed,which was mainly based on Likert scale and supplemented by other investigations.Among them,the scale is designed from four dimensions: identity,political identity,cultural identity and training status,and each dimension has two subdivision dimensions: emotional identity and behavioral tendency,and realistic evaluation.In addition,combined with descriptive statistical analysis,multiple response analysis and other methods,the mainstream performance,existing problems and influencing factors of college students’ national identity were deeply explored.The survey results show that the mainstream performance of college students’ national identity consciousness is generally good,but there are differences in identity,political identity and cultural identity,and there are problems that school education needs to be improved,national identity is relatively narrow,cultural identity is vulnerable to external influences,and the collaborative participation of all sectors of society is relatively weak.Through the comparative analysis of different groups,it is concluded that there are differences in the national identity of college students of different genders,schools,majors,grades,political outlook and nationalities;Finally,it analyzes the subjective and objective influencing factors of college students’ national identity consciousness.According to the survey results,this paper puts forward some countermeasures to cultivate college students’ national identity consciousness:Consolidate and enhance the educational foundation of national identity awareness,consolidate and develop the national emotional foundation of national identity awareness,establish and strengthen the cultural bond of national identity awareness,improve and implement safeguards for national identity awareness.
