With the rapid rise of China ’s economy,international influence is increasing,the world of Chinese and Chinese culture learning boom is a wave,more and more students are willing to come to China to learn.The more problems highlighted by the increase in the number of international students year by year,the more problems that cannot be ignored or avoided in the process of studying abroad are related to cultural adaptation.With the continuous promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative,by2020,ASEAN foreign students in Guizhou have accounted for about70 % of the total number of foreign students in Guizhou,so it is particularly important to study the cultural adaptation of ASEAN foreign students.Based on this,based on the spread of Chinese traditional sports culture and the international development of higher education of foreign students in Guizhou Province,this paper uses the methods of literature,questionnaire and interview to analyze the adaptation of ASEAN students to Chinese traditional sports culture.Research shows that :(1)ASEAN students in Guizhou are slightly more boys than girls,with the majority coming from Cambodia,Laos,Malaysia and Singapore,and very few from Brunei and Myanmar.All students can speak Chinese,but the level is uneven.Religious beliefs are mainly Buddhism and non-religious believers.The largest number of students studying in Guizhou through scholarships and self-funded forms.(2)ASEAN students generally have good value identification with Chinese traditional sports culture.Students are most involved in traditional martial arts and Tai Chi,followed by dragon and lion dance.Interest in traditional sports culture,class needs and making friends are the main motivation for foreign students to participate in traditional sports.The participation frequency is low,and the participation sites are mainly track and field venues and stadiums.(3)ASEAN students traditional sports culture to adapt to the overall situation preferences.Among the four cultural levels,the level of material culture and institutional culture adaptation is the best,which should continue to be enriched and improved.The behavioral culture adaptation is general,and efforts should be made to make further progress.The spiritual culture adaptation is weak,and guidance should be emphasized.(4)ASEAN students at different stages adapt differently.At the initial stage of adaptation(1 – 6 months),the mental and cultural adaptation of overseas students is weak,and the material and cultural adaptation is the best.At the stage of conflict(6 – 18 months),the level of institutional and behavioral cultural adaptation is low,and the mental and cultural adaptation is significantly improved.At the stage of adaptation(more than 18 months),the mental and cultural adaptation is the lowest,and the level of cultural adaptation at the other three levels is close.It can be seen that it will take some time for overseas students to understand the spiritual culture in a simple way.(5)The more interested in Chinese and Chinese culture,the better the effect of traditional sports culture adaptation.There is no correlation between the motivation of studying abroad in Guizhou through exchange and the adaptation of traditional sports culture recommended by school institutions.There is little difference between religious beliefs and the adaptation of traditional sports culture.The higher the social support for studying abroad,the better the effect of traditional sports culture adaptation.Cultural differences mainly affect the adaptation of spiritual culture.(6)In view of the problems existing in the adaptation of ASEAN students to traditional sports culture,the corresponding suggestions and opinions are put forward : foreign students should be fully prepared before coming to China,and the goal orientation of learning Chinese culture should be clarified.Strengthen the level of Chinese,broaden knowledge.Universities should strengthen the publicity of traditional sports culture and create a strong cultural atmosphere.Teachers should constantly improve their teaching business level and use resources to innovate teaching mode.Encourage the government,all sectors of society,schools to give a wide range of support,encourage attention to student groups,build more conducive to traditional sports culture interactive exchange platform.
