| preschoolers’ science-revelant problem solving skills is one of the important sciencerelated abilities of children,which is of great value to their learning and development.Young children’s science-revelant problem solving skills,closely related to children’s scientific thinking,scientific thinking of children has always been the western scholars research hot spot problems,domestic related research mainly introduce and introduce western scholars point of view,for science-revelant problem solving skills,especially preschoolers’ science-revelant problem solving skills of shallow study less and levels.The purpose of this study is to understand the development level of preschoolers’ science-revelant problem-solving skills,explore the relationship between preschoolers’ science-revelant problem-solving skills and their learning quality,and analyze their science-revelant problem-solving strategies.The study selected 233 children from 4kindergartens in F city and 79 children from a township kindergarten in Y county,S city,with a total of 312 children as research objects.The average age of children in senior class was 67.4 months(SD=3.92).The average age of middle class children was 55.97 months(SD=3.63).The study was conducted using a test,using a research tool designed and developed by Maria Fusaro,Maureen c.Smith et al.,in 2018.The findings of this study are as follows :(1)there is a significant gender difference in preschoolers’ science-revelant problem-solving skills,and boys’ science-revelant problemsolving skills is significantly higher than that of girls;(2)there is a significant age difference in preschoolers’ skills to solve science-revelant problems.With the growth of age,preschoolers’ skills to solve science-revelant problems keeps improving.(3)in the stage of4-5 years old,the development of preschoolers’ science-revelant problem-solving skills is slow,while in the stage of 5-6 years old,the development level of boys’ relevant skills is rapidly improved;At the age of 5-5.5 years,the relevant skills of girls develop rapidly,while the development rate slows down at the age of 5.5-6 years.(4)there are differences in science-revelant problem solving among different grades and types of kindergartens,among which the science-revelant problem solving skills of preschoolers’ in urban model kindergartens is significantly higher than that of ordinary public kindergartens.(5)preschoolers’ science-revelant problem-solving skills is significantly correlated with their learning quality on the whole,which is significantly correlated with the specific dimensions of learning quality,including ability motivation and learning strategies.(6)among the various factors that affect preschoolers’ science-revelant problem solving skills,preschoolers’ gender,ability motivation and learning quality have a strong explanatory effect on children’s science-revelant problem solving skills. |
