| China’s assistance to African countries began in 1956,more than half a century of china-africa relations as the china-africa cooperation BBS held the diversity of the21 st century,from the political communication to economic exchanges,to deepen cooperation in economic exchanges stretches up to based on aid to Africa is on the basis of equality and mutual benefit to promote the development of china-africa relations unceasingly.Africa is one of the least educated regions in the world today:between 2007 and 2014,the average primary school enrolment rate for male and female children in sub-Saharan Africa was 78.65% and 73.39%,respectively;From2000 to 2014,sub-Saharan Africa’s average enrolment rates at secondary and tertiary institutions were only 27.65 percent and 6.82 percent.The low level of economic development and the imperfect infrastructure construction have become the obstacles to the improvement of the educational level of the African people.African countries have to try their best to solve their own problems by accepting the assistance from other countries in the world.As the largest developing country in the world,China has long cherished the goal of building a community with a shared future for mankind.It is also the trend of The Times for China to provide assistance to African countries.Different from the traditional developed countries in Europe and the United States,China’s large-scale foreign aid started in the 21 st century,and it is an emerging enterprise.This paper focuses on the impact of China’s foreign aid on education in African recipient countries.On the basis of sorting out relevant literature,this paper analyzes China’s aid to Africa and the current situation of African education development,the theoretical mechanism of China’s foreign aid influencing African education development and the empirical test of China’s foreign aid influencing African education development.From the perspective of the current situation,the current education level of African people is still at a low level,and the current foreign aid still needs to strengthen the input in education aid.From a theoretical point of view:China’s foreign aid have a certain impact on the education development of recipient countries,the influence is mainly for the education development of recipient countries provide great basic conditions,to provide the recipient countries can be used for the development of education funds,directly to the recipient countries with regard to the construction of the school and teachers resources,as well as the students,thereby directly promoting the development of African countries education career.From the perspective of empirical test,firstly,the change of China’s aid amount did have limited influence on the education level of Africa in the past period of time,without significant promoting or inhibiting effect,and this conclusion was supported by another control variable "DAC aid amount".Second,African families have gender discrimination in the choice of children’s education.They prefer to choose male children to receive education.Third,some families give up providing education for their children due to high life pressure and high cost of education.Fourth,national spending on education is a key factor affecting the educational attainment of the African people.Fifthly,the electricity supply rate affects the learning conditions and interest of enrolled students.Through research and analysis,we get a lot of inspiration.First of all,various aid purposes should adopt corresponding aid methods,replacing the traditional aid methods of money.In order to improve the educational level of recipient countries,we can train teachers,provide education books and assist in the construction of education-related infrastructure for Africa.Second,African countries should strive to increase national spending on education and reduce the cost of education for families.In addition,African governments,with international help,should take advantage of Africa’s overall abundance of renewable energy to improve energy access and inclusion,and ultimately increase the rate of electricity supply in Africa. |
