Since reforming and opening up, the economy of our country has grown with leaps and bounds. At the same time, the unequal phenomenon in socioeconomic life is stressed increasingly, not only exits regional discrepancy between income distribution and economic growth, but also emerged no balance development of education. To be different from general physical capital, education can not be freely traded. So the marginal rate return of it across departments is not equalized, and the outputs depend not only on the average level of it but also on its distribution. Therefore, it is important to study the relation between education inequality and economic growth. This dissertation starts with education distribution in our country, exploring the relation between education inequality and economic growth, discussing the contribution of economic growth and income distribution to education inequality. The dissertation is organized as falls:Chapter one presents the main purpose, the method, the innovation of this paper, summarizing the theory model and empirical analysis inside and outside.Chapter two introduces the measurement of education inequality in our country, using the deviation of average education attainment, gini coefficient of education and GE index to measure the education inequality within urban and rural areas as well as between different regions, then it analyzes the tendency of change of average education attainment, education gini coefficient and the relationship between them.Chapter three is the key section of the dissertation. Firstly, it uses fixed-effect model to analyze the influence of education inequality to economic growth, adding regional and year dummy variables to the model and using pooled-data OLS method to estimate the influence of especial factor to economic growth. Secondly, it makes use of Shapley value decomposition method to decompose CV coefficient, gini coefficient, Theil coefficient and explores the contribution of economic growth...
