Martial arts is an excellent traditional Chinese culture and a traditional sports program that nurtures and promotes the national spirit.Primary school is a crucial period for the formation of students’ values,outlook on life and personality.Wushu teaching helps students to form good quality,cultivate national cultural identity and promote students’ physical and mental health.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out martial arts teaching in primary schools.This paper takes the status quo of Wushu teaching in the main city of Xuzhou City as the research object,and uses literature methods,interviews,questionnaires,mathematical statistics and other methods to investigate and study 15 primary schools in the main city of Xuzhou.In-depth analysis of the problems existing in primary school martial arts teaching and based on the successful experience of the martial arts featured project school Da Ma Lu Primary School proposed a solution strategy.Through questionnaire survey,we can understand the teachers in the main city of Xuzhou,the teaching situation of martial arts and the attitude of students to martial arts,and understand the problems existing in the current martial arts teaching in teachers,schools,and society.Through the investigation of the class teacher,the school leaders are more objectively understood.The emphasis on martial arts teaching,and the important role of the special role of the class teacher in martial arts teaching,in addition,interviewed teachers with rich experience in martial arts teaching,learned their views on primary school martial arts teaching,and got a solution Suggestions on the predicament of martial arts teaching.The results show:(1)The martial arts teaching in the primary city of Xuzhou City is in good condition,but the starting rate of special martial arts classes is low.At the same time,there are fewer competitions about martial arts teaching and martial arts competitions between different regions,mainly martial arts competitions,and the competition form is single.(2)Physical education teachers in the main city of Xuzhou City are ideal in terms of age,professional title and academic qualifications,but the proportion of teachers is not balanced.There are more teachers engaged in ball games,fewer teachers in martial arts,less teaching experience and technical level of martial arts teachers.Relatively low,less martial arts training for teachers,can not guarantee the quality of teaching,is not conducive to the development of martial arts in schools.(3)Wushu teaching materials have no local characteristics,and there is no content about martial arts culture and etiquette,which causes the lack of martial arts culture education.The teaching content is basically a simple five-step boxing,martial arts exercise and other content,not according to the student’s physical and mental development rules and the school section to distinguish the difficulty level,the teaching content can not meet the diversity of students’ martial arts learning content.In addition,most of the teaching methods take action demonstration,practice and other methods,less use of scenarios,games and other methods,lack of fun.(4)Students have low interest in martial arts,and most students like ball games.On the one hand,ball games can be multi-person interaction,interesting,competitive,and team-oriented.On the other hand,ball games are less difficult than martial arts.Students can release pressure through the ball activities,enjoy the mood,gain satisfaction from them,and promote the relationship between the students.At the same time,the lack of martial arts culture in the teaching of martial arts,most students do not know much about martial arts,the concept of martial arts is rather vague.(5)The class teacher has a positive effect on the martial arts teaching organization of physical education teachers.The class teacher’s martial arts culture corner and martial arts culture theme class will be beneficial to the students’ martial arts culture,so that students can form national cultural identity and self-confidence.At the same time,they can communicate with parents and obtain parental support for students to learn martial arts.To sum up: In view of the problems existing in the status quo of martial arts in the main city of Xuzhou City,some scientific and reasonable solutions are proposed:(1)to improve the importance of various aspects and increase martial arts propaganda;(2)to strengthen the martial arts teachers(3)Strengthen the construction of martial arts venues and create a good martial arts atmosphere;(4)Practically solve the teaching materials and teaching content,strengthen the innovation of martial arts teaching methods;(5)Improve students’ interest in martial arts;(6)Improve The competition system will improve the level of students’ martial arts skills;(7)According to local conditions,Xuzhou martial arts will be built into a sports special project of North Jiangsu Primary School.It aims to provide feasible suggestions for Wuzhou primary school martial arts teaching.
