Abstract/Summary:
With the development of the times,information technology represented by 5G has developed rapidly,artificial intelligence and technological innovation have become the focus of social and economic development,the demand for talents has changed,education is facing new challenges,and the education of pre-school children has also changed.requirements.Lego education is an educational form that conforms to the characteristics of children’s growth and development.It develops rapidly under the background of information technology.It exercises children’s hands-on ability and creativity through building blocks,and at the same time stimulates children’s interest and encourages children to actively explore and actively acquire knowledge and skills.It is an educational method that is very well recognized by parents.STEM education is an emerging educational concept that provides innovative solutions to talent needs to solve global problems,especially playing a vital role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.Because of its success in the United States,countries try to copy the model,and our country has also introduced the concept of STEM education very early,and has been learning and exploring.According to the No.30 report released by the International Bureau of Education of UNESCO(IBE-UNESCO)-"Exploring STEM Capabilities in the 21 st Century",it can be seen that STEM capabilities have been "defined" and formed a STEM capability framework,It provides a theoretical basis for our research.Based on the STEM competency framework,through the questionnaire method and interview method,the research and discussion on the current situation of LEGO education for children is carried out.The research showed that there was no significant difference between different genders in acquiring STEM abilities.While,different ages,different times to play LEGO,different frequencies to play LEGO,and different times to play LEGO at home,children had significant difference on acquiring STEM abilities.According to regression analysis,it can be seen that the professional level of teachers and the way to teach are significantly related to acquire children’s STEM ability.Based on the results of the empirical analysis and the content of the interviews,the problems and influencing factors of LEGO education for STEM abilities are analyzed,and improvement strategies are proposed from the perspectives of the country,teachers,parents,etc.,in order to propose new educational ideas for early childhood LEGO education.Improve the education system and develop educational concepts.Encourage teachers and parents to look at problems from the perspective of children,form an educational model that conforms to the law of children’s growth,and create a good and harmonious educational environment.
