| Sleep is a basic physiological need of human beings.Good sleep is very important for the smooth daily activities,and also directly affects people’s physical and mental health.On the one hand,as the new youth in the new era,college students are very needed for the development and construction of the country,and only with healthy physical and mental condition can college students better exert their strength in study and work.On the other hand,college students live independently in school and to some extent lack strict supervision from their parents,so they need self-restraint more.However,emerging short video media has a strong temptation for college students who like new and different things.Some college students delay insomnia because they are immersed in watching short video on mobile phones,thus affecting sleep.Short video addiction of college students will not only reduce their sleep quality,but also lead to a series of negative consequences,such as poor learning state,reduced subjective well-being,self-efficacy and so on.Before although many researchers also discussed the influencing factors of college students’ sleep quality,this study will focus on the phenomenon of college students a short video addiction,based on the behavioral addiction research,study the effects of college students addicted to short video about the quality of sleep,sleep at the same time the introduction of self-regulation and delay,to explore the internal mechanism of affect morpheus quality.In this study,500 questionnaires were randomly distributed to college students in the form of online questionnaire,and 486 valid questionnaires were collected by questionnaire survey,including short video Addiction Scale,Self-regulation Scale,Sleep Procrastination Scale and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale.SPSS22.0 statistical software was used for reliability test,descriptive statistics,independent sample T test and correlation analysis,and PRCCESS was used for chain effect test to understand the overall situation of short video addiction,bedtime procrastination,self-regulation and sleep quality of college students,and analyze the impact of short video addiction on sleep quality.Self-regulation and the chain-mediated role of sleep procrastination.The results of this study are as follows:(1)The level of short video addiction of college students is above medium,and the level of short video addiction of college students in urban areas is significantly higher than that in rural areas,but there is no significant difference in gender,major,grade and family structure.(2)The self-regulation level of college students is above average,and the self-regulation level of freshmen to seniors is significantly higher than that of postgraduates.There is no significant difference in gender,major,family structure and source of students.(3)The bedtime procrastination of college students is at the medium level,and there is a significant difference in the source of students.The bedtime procrastination level of college students in urban areas is higher than that in rural areas,and there is no significant difference in other demographic variables.(4)The sleep quality score of college students is slightly higher than the critical value of determining problem sleep,and there is no significant difference in the five demographic variables in this study.(5)There was a significant positive correlation between short video addiction,sleep procrastination and sleep quality scores,and there was a significant negative correlation between self-regulation and short video addiction,sleep procrastination and sleep quality scores.(6)Bedtime procrastination partially mediated the relationship between short video addiction and sleep quality.That is,short video addiction will deepen the degree of bedtime procrastination of college students,and then reduce their sleep quality.(7)Self-regulation partially mediated the relationship between short video addiction and sleep quality.In other words,short video addiction can reduce the self-regulation level of college students,and then reduce their sleep quality.(8)Self-regulation and bedtime procrastination played a chain mediating role between short video addiction and sleep quality.In other words,short video addiction can reduce the self-regulation level of college students,and then affect their sleep quality.Based on the above results,it can be concluded that short video addiction of college students will aggravate the degree of sleep procrastination,and then reduce sleep quality,self-regulation ability can also mediate the relationship between short video addiction and sleep quality,that is,with the rise of short video addiction,self-regulation ability decreases,sleep quality also decreases.Moreover,self-regulation and bedtime procrastination also play a chain mediating role between short video addiction and sleep quality.Therefore,college psychologists can make full use of psychological education courses and thematic psychological group counseling activities to improve the sleep quality of college students from the perspective of reducing short video addiction,reducing bedtime procrastination and improving self-regulation ability. |
