Neoliberalism first arose in the 1930 s and 1940 s,and its essence was a kind of ideological trend of political economy.After more than 50 years of rapid development,Neoliberalism rapidly expanded to the whole social public field including the field of education in the 1980 s and 1990 s Since the 1980 s,western countries have started an educational reform movement dominated by neo-liberalism,with market-oriented concept as the core thought of the reform,and it has exerted a wide and far-reaching influence on educational activities around the world.The core idea of the new liberalism education thought is: in the process of the development of school education,the introduction of market mechanism,according to the logic of the capitalist development of market economy to carry on the reform of education.Put the education as the buying and selling goods on the market for service consumption,reduce government intervention,argues that the government give power to schools and other relevant departments at the grass-roots level,expand the privatization,let the school through the free competition in the market and survival,evolution,and to expand the choice of parents,parents of students can choose freely according to the school to which school to study,the school also can according to their own development.Advocates of free choice of students believe that the implementation of the principle of competition in the market mechanism can not only realize the free choice of the educated and promote the optimal allocation of educational resources,but also promote the schools to provide the best educational services for students.But the new liberalism idea under the guidance of education reform movement,the school education teaching quality and teaching efficiency is not achieved satisfactory effect as its advocates,the reliability and validity of the education reform is still mixed and inconclusive,liberal education reform under the guidance of the new outlook is not optimistic.New liberalism advocated the market of education reform Privatization of Free choice does not fully comply with the laws of education itself,such as its reform policies and measures to the school education activities belong to public welfare attribute and value appeal has brought tremendous impact,and the negative effect caused by the new liberal education reform logic exist doctrinal deviation,they put the education as a tool to promote the development of capitalist economy,the training they need.We must reflect on and criticize the fact that the essence of education is to train people purposefully and consciously and to cultivate good citizens.
