For the past few years,scholars who are domestic and overseas have gradually applied Positive Psychology to study and practice in the academic field,and began to pay attention to college students’ learning process from the perspective of “whole person”.Academic engagement,as a positive learning state and an important academic experience for college students,has been the focus of the attention of psychological and educational researchers.Research on its influencing factors mainly focuses on individual factors and environmental factors,and perceived social support,as an external environmental factor,is an important factor which affects college students’ academic engagement.Meanwhile,academic buoyancy is an important ability which may cope with setbacks,challenges and difficulties in daily academic activities,and academic emotions,as an emotional experience throughout the whole academic activities,also has a certain impact on individual’s level of academic engagement.In this study,we investigated the predictive role of perceived social support on academic engagement and the chain mediating role of academic buoyancy and academic emotions.In this study,a total of 945 college students from all over the country were surveyed by using “Perceived Social Support Scale”,“Academic Buoyancy Scale”,“College Students’ Academic Emotions Questionnaire” and “Work Engagement Scale-Student”.Data was analyzed and processed by SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0.The results show that:(1)perceived social support is in positive significant correlations with academic buoyancy,positive academic emotions and academic engagement,and in a negative significant correlation with negative academic emotions;academic buoyancy is in positive significant correlations with positive academic emotions and academic engagement,and in a negative significant correlation with negative academic emotions.It is in a highly significant positive correlation between ositivee academic emotions and academic engagement.Negative academic emotions are in a negative significant correlation with academic engagement.(2)Academic buoyancy plays a mediating role in the relationship between perceived social support and college students’ academic engagement.(3)Positive academic emotions play a mediating role in the relationship between perceived social support and academic engagement;the negative academic emotions play a mediating role in the relationship between perceived social support and college students’ academic engagement.(5)Academic buoyancy and academic emotions play a chain mediating role in the relationship between perceived social support and college students’ academic engagement.Conclusion:perceived social support not only can directly affect college students’ learning engagement,but also promote their positive academic emotions in learning process by improving their academic buoyancy level,and then improve their academic engagement.
