Xu Xin made a qualitative leap in 2019,blossoming in the third-tier of men’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles, and achieved brilliant records. As we all know, when the two sides enter the stalemate stage, the advantage of the horizontal racket is greater than that of the direct racket athlete, while Xu Xin,as a direct racket athlete,is extremely prominent in the stalemate. This paper studies the characteristics of Xu Xin’s technical and tactical use, analyzes its advantages and disadvantages according to scientific data, and formulates effective strategies for future competitions to promote the development of table tennis in China. This paper mainly adopts the methods of literature,three-stage statistics, video observation and mathematical statistics to find out their advantages and disadvantages against domestic and foreign players,so as to provide data support and theoretical reference for future training and competition, and also provide some theoretical reference for young direct shot athletes.Through analysis and research, the following results and conclusions are drawn.Research result:1.Xu Xin scored 63.5% of the hook serve,58.3% of the non-spin serve, and 55.2%of the side-spin serve. In the third board technique, the scoring rate of sideways pulling and punching is 72.3%,the scoring rate of forehand is 68.4%,and the scoring rate of backhand is relatively low, reaching 51%.2.Xu Xin’s second board technique in the catch section is mainly based on control, with a scoring rate of 91.7% for split length,71.4% for backhand twist and pull,and60.3% for active pull and punch. In the fourth version of the attack, the sideways technique reached 58%,and the scoring rate of the forehand and backhand did not reach50%.When the backhand technique was connected after the active pull and punch, the scoring rate was less than 20%.3.In the overall stalemate,Xu Xin scored the highest sideways scoring rate, reaching 58.2%,the forehand scoring rate was 32%,and the backhand advantage was not obvious, only 30.9%.Analysis conclusion:1.On the whole,Xu Xin performed best in the stalemate segment, followed by poor performance in the hair snatching segment and the receiving snatching segment.Xu Xin’s service is mainly non turning and side turning, followed by hook service. In the case of domestic players,it mainly focuses on turning and side spinning. For foreign players, hook service is the main method. The service landing point is usually served to the opponent’s forehand short ball position, followed by the backhand short ball position.2.In the starting and grabbing section,Xu Xin’s technique in the third board is mainly sideways pull and dash.Whether against domestic players or foreign players, the scoring rate of sideways pull and dash after serving is also the highest. After serving, the scoring rate of backhand pull in the third board is relatively low.3.Xu Xin’s receiving service is mainly short swing and long split. The technique of backhand twisting and pulling is rarely used, and most of the landing points are in the forehand short position of the opponent. After catching the ball, the attack is mainly based on the sideways and backhand techniques, and the sideways technique is Xu Xin’s main scoring point.4.Xu Xin’s techniques used in the stalemate stage are mainly sideways and forehand, supplemented by backhand, and the sideways scoring rate is the highest. The performance of domestic players is better than that of foreign players. When facing domestic players, the scoring rate and utilization rate of backhand are higher than those of foreign players. From the stalemate data of the serving wheel and the receiving and serving wheel, the gap is not too large, and the serving wheel is relatively good.
