A study of the impact brought about by micro-lessons in teaching the content of the Graphics and Geometry module in primary school mathematics. It is closely related to real life and has a strong abstraction. An effective teaching method can ensure students’ learning effectiveness, while micro-lessons,as a novel teaching tool, are intuitive and flexible. Therefore,it is of practical importance to study the effectiveness of micro-lessons in teaching the Graphics and Geometry module in primary school mathematics.Using the experimentation of micro-lessons in primary school mathematics graphics and geometry modules as the research theme, based on constructivist learning theory and the principle of ’mathematical reality’,a combination of literature research, experimental research, questionnaires and interviews were systematically explored. The experimental design was based on a pre-and post-test,in which the experimental class and the control class were selected to teach the graphing and geometry module using micro-lessons,while the control class was taught the graphing and geometry module using the traditional teaching method. The results were further tested using SPSS to verify the learning effects of using the micro-lessons teaching graphics and geometry modules and the differences in learning outcomes between students of different genders and different home locations.A questionnaire was developed to investigate whether students’ interest in learning was affected by the use of the graphics and geometry module in the experimental classes, based on three dimensions:attitudes towards learning through micro-lessons,learning ability through micro-lessons and learning expectations through micro-lessons.Subsequently,individual students were then interviewed to find out whether their spatial imagination skills were affected after using the micro-lessons teaching graphics and geometry module. The validation provides strong support for the experimental study on the use of micro-lessons in teaching the graphs and geometry module in primary school mathematics.Using micro-lessons to teach the graphs and geometry module helps to improve students’ learning effectiveness, mobilise their interest in learning and help to develop their spatial imagination skills.
