Dabasong uplift and it's surrounding areas located between two hydrocarbon-rich depressions which respectively are Mahu depression and PEN1 well west depression is a long-term inherent ancient uplift and a place for oil and gas gathering.petroleum accumulation conditions are favorable.the Carboniferous of this area is located in lower part of overlapping basin which undergone intense tectonic activity and developed numerous large-area structural traps along fault belt near hydrocarbon source layer.hugely thick mudstone cap rocks developed in Triassic Baijiantan Formation and Permian lower Uroho formation provide great condition for petroleum preservation.all of these work together make Carboniferous volcanic rock of Jungaer basin an important place for future prospecting.But because Carboniferous is deeply buried,and the low level of exploration in this area,poor quality geophysical data and other conditions,all of these make it difficult to accurately predict the volcanic facies,draw volcanic bodies and predict control factors of petroleum accumulation.as a result,lots of pre-drilling failed.to solve these problems,by comparing Carboniferous of Dabasong with it's corresponding layer in adjacent area,making precise interpretation mapping of of it's structure,using it's well,seismic,gravity,magnetic and electric information,drawing it's volcanic system as well as analyzing control factors of petroleum accumulation,we come to the following conclusion:(1)Carboniferous in Dabasong uplift is similar to strata in Ludong area,and the Bashan formation and B paragraph of Songkaersu formations are cut off in turn from central depression to Luliang uplift for being influenced by the ancient Luliang uplift.(2)Distribution of Carboniferous volcanic bodies were controlled by 4 large finger-like nose-protruding structure and favorable volcanic facies and volcanic agencies were distributed along those nose-protruding structure belt.(3)Dabsong Carboniferous volcanic rocks have three high-production elements which respectively are the development of weathering reformed high-qaulity volcanic reservoir and abnormally high pressure as well as that fluid there are mainly in gas phase.Under the guidance of the cognitive research we located favorable prospecting areas in Carboniferous,Dabasong uplift and opened up new areas for future exploration.the over all prospecting deployment in choosing favorable areas makes foundation for exploration breakthrough in Carboniferous volcanic.at the same time it's also a great instruction for Carboniferous volcanic rock prospecting in south slope-area of Luliang uplift.
