Surface drift buoy is the main equipment for monitoring ocean current,which has the advantages of small volume,low cost and convenient use,and can be put on the sea in large quantities.The drifting buoy system mainly collects GPS positioning point data.By analyzing the data,the drifting distance in a certain time can be calculated,and then the current velocity and direction can be calculated,and the current trajectory can be drawn to obtain the current data within the measured range.The study of ocean current is of great significance for fishing,navigation,naval operation and weather forecast.By analyzing the research status of buoy at home and abroad,this thesis makes an overall improvement on the buoy system,which is mainly reflected in the low-power hardware design,sphere structure design,iridium launch design,upper computer system design and software optimization,so as to strive for the stable operation of the buoy system and obtain more accurate ocean current data.The work is as follows:(1)Overall planning and design.The buoy sphere is determined,and the sealing and stability of the sphere are designed;The internal structure of the buoy is designed to ensure the stable operation of the devices in the sphere;The irregular collapse phenomenon of water sail was solved,and the sea experiment was carried out.(2)Low power system design.Through the comprehensive comparison and selection of various devices,the low-power circuit of the buoy system is designed,the circuit board is made and passed the low-power test;The low power design of the software is carried out,including the overall software implementation,satellite communication software design,packet loss processing,Bluetooth communication and so on.The power consumption of each component is calculated,and the theoretical operation days are obtained.(3)Function software design.Among them,the design of variable sampling algorithm can obtain more comprehensive current velocity;The upper computer software system of high performance drifting buoy can realize data analysis,trajectory drawing and ocean current data calculation.(4)The comprehensive verification experiments of the system are carried out,including the positioning accuracy experiment of GPS,the comprehensive operation stability experiment of buoy,and the launching experiment of water sail on the sea.The floating buoy was successfully launched in the South China Sea,which obtained a lot of data for ocean current research.
