Titanium is an important metal resource,mainly used in aerospace,ships,coatings and other fields.In China,titanium resource reserves are the fourth largest reserves of all metal resources,second only to iron,aluminum and magnesium.Titanium mainly exists in ilmenite and rutile.Among them,ilmenite reserves account for 98%of China's titanium resources.This article takes a ilmenite in Fumin,Yunnan as the research object.The main minerals in this ore are ilmenite,hydrous limonite and quartz.The ilmenite in the original ore is about 4.85%,accounting for 77.85%of the total Ti O2content,and the Fe2O3is about 8.76%,accounting for 75.44%of the total iron ore content.It is a refractory disseminated ilmenite-ferric hydroxide(limonite)ore.This paper aims to improve the recovery of these kinds of ilmenite through the magnetic-gravity combined process of trating coarse ore and the re–selection of gravity midding process of trating fine ore.(1)After determining the magnetic separation and re-selection process parameters,through the magnetic-gravity combined closed circuit process flow(The magnetic separation process is:"one coarse";The gravity process is:"Coarse on the sieve,coarse,fine,fine under the sieve,coarse"),obtained a coarse particle concentrate product with a Ti O2grade of 47.93%,a recovery rate of 42.44%,of which the coarse particle concentrate has reached the ilmenite qualified concentrate product,and the fine particle concentrate can be used as a rich medium mine.Otherwise,the gravity midding need to re-selection because it concentrate of Ti O2is 7.19%and the recovery is 26.63%of gravity midding,(2)Gravity midding research was conducted on the gravity midding ore.Through the closed-circuit test of the entire flotation process,it was found that although the flotation concentrate with a Ti O2recovery rate of 68.36%can be finally obtained,the Ti O2grade is only 16.74%,which cannot achieve the expected effect;The average grade of Ti O2in the leaching residue is 14.03%,and the average leaching rate of Fe is 71.52%.The grade of Ti O2still does not meet the requirements of the required concentrate products,but there is obvious delamination in the three-necked flask;,got 47.07%,the recovery rate of 61.99%,the total recovery rate of 50.2%of the concentrate products.Therefore,leaching-gravity separation will not be incorporated into the magnetic-gravity combined separation.(3)For the ilmenite raw ore with 6.23%Ti O2and 11.61%TFe,through the combined process of magnetic separation and gravity separation,can got the four grade ilmenite concentrate products.Therefore,this paper recommends the use of the combined process of magnetic separation and gravity separation for the treatment of this type of minerals.The recommended standard is:the grade of Ti O2of the titanium concentrate products is 47.93%,and the recovery rate is 42.44%.
